On the surface this nursing home appears nice however the help is not adequate to deal with elderly patients especially those with dementia or AD. I was there visiting my Mother every day to make sure things went right! I found some problems with the staff. Dinner hour was shortened for those that needed more time to finish eating because the aids had to return to the floor. The patients sat in dirty diapers for an hour after ringing the bell for help because the nurses aids sat at the counter with the nurse. No one walked the aisles to look in on patients on a timely schedule other than when it was time for meds. Some LNA's were nice, some should not have that job. They would taunt the patients, argue with them and steal candy & other items from their personal drawer. Early one morning I received a phone call from the hospital saying my Mother was found on the floor and never regained consciousness, she died 3 hours later. The nursing home workers were not aware of anything that happened Just that they found her on the floor. After this happened I investigated further to find this home has several falls, some deadly. This should not happen in a place where you send your loved ones to be cared for! Not a good place they need an administrator that walks the floor and knows the problems. Sitting in an office does not solve the real problems!!!

My sister was at Crestwood with stage 4 lung cancer. At first she had reservations about being there because the facility is old but the staff soon won her over. The staff was amazing! They helped her and our family through a difficult time.

I found Crestwood Care to be very good. I found my aunt very well taken care of. The staff that we met was very polite and nice. We had no complaints about the place at all. The room was very adequate. My aunt mentioned that the food was very good. She wasn’t doing any activities, but I do know that they have activities. I’ve been in other places, and this is the place that I found that was the best.

My father was sent there from the hospital, we had developed a blood clot in his leg and was having shortness of breath from his lack of activity. He was sent there for Physical Therapy to gain his strength back so he could return home. Into his third week there, my wife went to see him and he was so doped up on massive amounts of pain meds that he could not even maintain eye contact with her, my wife asked why he was in this condition and was told by a staff member that he was being treated for TERMINAL CANCER and we are keeping him COMFORTABLE. Two days later my mother received a call from the staff saying that he was having difficulty breathing and asked my mother " WHAT SHOULD WE DO" My mother responded call an ambulance immediately. My father passed away the next day from Pneumonia. He want there for Physical Therapy????? My father was a WWII Vet, He did not deserve this... Think twice before sending your loved ones here.
