We toured Aksarben Village. The staff did a really good job explaining the place and took me to two different rooms to look at their four different layouts. The facilities were very clean and everything was well cared for. There was quite a bit of staff when I was looking and walking around and there were also residents walking around. They seemed like they were very happy, you look at them and know that they look like they're well-cared for. hey had all the amenities and they also offered classes, they had a very wide variety of activities. From what I saw, the menu looked like they had a lot of different options for my father to choose from in regards to food because he stayed in a nursing facility where they were limited on what he could get.

Aksarben Village was really beautiful. The facility itself was classy, updated, and lovely. The staff was really lovely, and the rooms were clean, spacious, and well-organized. The layout was lovely, and I was impressed with that facility. They had a nice dining room, workout room, courtyard, large and spacious communal areas for socializing. They also have a salon, and a little gift shop where residents could purchase cards and small gifts for family members. I thought the amenities there looked wonderful. It was spectacular.

My parents will be moving into Aksarben Village. They provide three meals a day and the right size room for them. It's very clean, very new, it's 5 years old, and they are repainting the apartment and putting in new carpet before my parents move in, so that's an added benefit. The staff is very helpful and good about communicating back and forth as we make arrangements to get them moved. We saw the dining area, however, they're under stage 1 quarantine, so the meals are delivered to my parents' room for the next 14 days. They have a nice exercise room and a movie theater. Mom and dad like the location. It's not cheap, but they're worth it.

Aksarben Village was a very nice community, both my parents were there about 3 years ago. It's very well-appointed and very well-staffed. They would publish a monthly newsletter, they do outings, bingo, they have lots of activities available like movie nights. I ate there several times and it was good. The staff was professional and caring and a well-managed community. Their room at the time was very nice, it's a relatively new community and only less than 10 years old. It was very well-maintained. They had a courtyard and other outdoor areas as well. There's a laundry machine on my mother's room although she prefers to do her own. Towards the end of her stay there, they were administrating all the meds, changing her diabetic socks and that type of stuff.

Aksarben Village really is a lovely residence. However, there are some issues with their administration
Aksarben has been open over a year. Dial can't seem to fill the head nurse position. This is a very vital role when it comes to patient care. The CNA turnover is also constant. Because of this, there is absolutely no continuity with the individual resident care! Needs that residents are paying for and not receiving.
Many residents are left with little to do in the evenings and on weekends. On weekends, it appears to be just a skeleton crew. Residents must be the priority in these facilities.

Aksarben Village was brand new too. They just opened last December. It was beautiful. The people were all well. They had plenty of activities. They had a beautiful dining area, and the apartments were very nice and very roomy. The person that assisted me there was great. I liked her very well. She was very knowledgeable in everything. She was very helpful. They had all kinds of things there. They had a beauty salon, and they had a movie theater.

I was impressed with Aksarben Village, but it had a really high price. Everything about it was nice from the apartments to the amenities. They had a chapel, a theatre, and open space for the residents to do activities.

Aksarben Village was large, new, immaculate, and more like contemporary living. There was hardly any staff that I saw, but it was really new, so they had only a minimal amount of residents. The rooms were smaller. One thing I did not like was if you were a small-town person, this was not the place for you because it was in a more urban and very commercial area. You could walk to a lot of restaurants, beauty shops, and stuff, but for my mother who had lived in a small town in the country, it was too urban. There were too many commercial buildings around and no green spaces whatsoever.
