About This Community
Often the mental demands of those struggling with Alzheimer's disease can take over the emotional needs. But at Frontier Management , we keep the emotional needs and feelings of your loved one at the very center of what we do.
Our exclusive Meaningful Moments® program is specifically designed to help meet the needs of those Residents with memory loss. We begin by discovering the life story of each individual's likes, dislikes and cherished memories. By adding details and preferences from each Resident's life story into their day, we can build comfort and a sense of meaning for each individual Resident. The result is a familiar atmosphere for your loved one.
Our Residents have access to a whole host of amenities and programming options to help keep them active and engaged in daily life.
There are excursions to restaurants and shopping, arts and crafts classes, movie nights and many chances for family and holiday celebrations. Our Meaningful Moments® program, paired with our active and engaged staff members at Frontier Management, brings together the very best Alzheimer's care.

I loved Prairie Meadows Alzheimer's Special Care Center. It was perfect for my father. The staff was caring, considerate, and responsive. They were wonderful and the activities were great. They did some really good things for their residents. Even during COVID, they had a car parade where we all decorated our cars and they had all of the people outside. So, we could wave at them and they could see us even though we couldn't touch them. At least they knew that we were there and that we loved them. Several times, if my father was in a good mood, his caregiver would call me, and we Facetimed, without me even asking. I thought that was great. They tried everything they could to keep them interested and active.

My parents moved to Prairie Meadows Alzheimer's Special Care Center. I went in and I interviewed and called people in different places, but this was very warm and welcoming. The first time I went in there, the staff was amazing, and I actually visited two times before I put my parents in. What I saw was that they were intermingling with the patients, and they weren't shoving them into their rooms. They were really making an effort to socialize and have them out. The staff was kind, I was just really impressed. I've been there and my parents really enjoyed the food. It looked really good and fresh, and it was served fairly quickly. I thought it was done really well.
At the last facility, my dad was in a bed probably 23 hours a day, and every time I've gone to Prairie Meadows, they had him up. I don't even care if he's sleeping in the TV room, at least he's not in bed. So he participates, and he at least sits up, and stays up and about, which is so critical for his health. They just make so much more of an effort to keep them busy. It's quite amazing. Everything in the facility is reachable and it's comfortable. Before this, my parents were in an absolutely stunning facility, but there were things that were horrible. And here, it's not perfect fancy buildings, but it's comfortable and clean. I just was really impressed with that. It feels much more homey. They've got a really good staff-to-patient ratio. They are constantly posting on Facebook.

My mom has been in Prairie Meadows Alzheimer's Special Care Center since February, and it's been good so far. There were a couple of deciding factors as to why we chose them. One was she had a shower right in her room, so she didn't have to go to a different part of the building to shower. Second, I really liked the people. They have an RN on staff twenty-four hours a day, too. They did little things for the residents, like all the food is homemade, so they would make residents' family recipes. and I just liked that. The facility is very attractive, homey, and cute.

I chose Prairie Meadows Alzheimer's Special Care Center for my husband because it is close to where I live, and I had several friends who recommended it. They have been very polite, very good to work with, very nice, and responsive to my questions, needs, and concerns (although that's been on a limited basis only because of COVID).
He has not had one complaint at all about his room. I have not been able to be there since, but it looks like the rooms are very spacious. A hospice nurse visits him twice a week so she kind of reports back to me on what is going on. She seems to think that everything is fine. She also sends me pictures, and the room looks very clean and very attractive. I think they are going to open very soon for visits, so I'll be able to get in maybe next week.
They have daily activities, like crafts, music, Bible studies, and watching football together. I've only done window visits with him and have gotten inside just at the front door, where I sat with some of the staff and talked. The outside looked fine. It seems very nice, very clean, and very welcoming. The dining room looks very nice and attractive, too, from the window. A sheet is sent out to the residents' families to show what is going on, and it looks like they have pretty good activities, and quite a few.

I toured with Don, Marketer. He was very helpful to answer my questions. I appreciate his time and recommend him and this facility to anyone looking for care of their loved one. They do a lot of outings and it's clean here. The staff was all very nice. Thank you.

I made the tour of Prairie Meadows Alzheimer's Special Care Center. Once I realized that it was private pay only and no Medicaid eligible down the way, I cut the tour short. The rooms were fine, but it was an expensive place. I wasn’t overly impressed.

I was very impressed with Prairie Meadows, but they don’t do respite care. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. The rooms and apartments were very clean. The residents seemed clean and active.

Our mother resides at this unit. The nurses, administrative staff listen and follow through our concerns. We feel the staff cares immensely about mother's care. We are at peace she is being taken care of at Prairie Meadows.

My husband is receiving such excellent care here! All the staff show that they love him and more importantly that they know him and all his quirks! The building layout is perfection for someone who enjoys wandering.

We did have my husband for about three weeks in Prairie Meadows. I did not feel that they were equipped to handle him. He got a little bit aggressive, and they were not able to handle him. The staff was very good though. His room was very spacious and very clean. They provided a bed, but we needed a hospital bed, so we provided our own and everything else. We were happy there, but they were not able to handle his behavior. We weren't very happy with the food too. There was not much variety, and they were never given a choice. I did eat there a couple of times, and it wasn't great. They also didn't have a very organized activity situation.

Prairie Meadows is an excellent Alzheimer’s care facility. We met their staff who give excellent care and are very helpful. They have private rooms which are very nice. Their food is excellent. They have all kinds of group activities, go on outings, do crafts, and host movie nights. They have a couple of patios for residents to go out on. There is one nurse for every four clients. The public bathrooms in the hallways can get dirty, so they need to clean those more than once a day.

We visited Prairie Meadows, and it is too much at this time for my mother. It was a nice facility, but it just wasn't as close, and it was much more restrictive. They were able to answer all my questions, and it seemed that they do a good job. They were good, but they just weren't quite what we needed.
