This facility is the Best!
My parents moved into their apartment the end of August 2018. From the farm in Southeast Nebraska. Ages 98 and 95.
Health care is not always the best in the rural area, this place has changed their life around.
Dad just said he was ready and to find a place as soon as we could. My wife and I did a lot of visits before deciding on Clark Jeary. This place has changed their life. Excellent care!!!
Staff is Great, Food is Great, Medical care is Great. Can not ask for more.
Dad told me that he came here to Die!!
Very sad statement for a son to here. BUT he has never felt better. I will never regret this decision.
They have both made so many new friends, can be as busy with activities as they want to be. Mom loves the library, I never knew she liked to read.
Please ask for a tour if you are looking for a place for a loved one.

When we were deciding where to place mom we were impressed by the promise that the folks at Clark Jeary made to us about how our mom could stay in their facility throughout the duration and stages of her alzheimer's.
She (and we) were satisfied with the level of care she was given right up until they moved her to the "memory care" side and bumped up the price $2500/mo. We did it though, again with the promise that she would have elevated care and more activities, etc. But this was not the case. Immediately we saw a change in her and noticed a decline not an improvement, she would sleep until noon missing breakfast and sometimes lunch.
And she stopped saying "how nice everyone was who worked there" which was a thing she previously would say nearly every time we spoke. The staff then told us she should be medicated to make her "easier". I mean how much easier can someone be if you let her sleep until noon and she goes to bed at 9-10pm?
Apparently during this time, they have changed ownership and have experienced a huge turnover in staff. Gone are the loving souls who gently cared for our precious mom, and now she is being cared for by people who want to drug her. Not good. Not acceptable. So we will be moving her to a new facility in the very near future.
Mom has lived at Clark Jeary for several years, and up until this point we would have given them very high marks, but under the new ownership it seems as if things have slipped, badly.

I don't trust the word of the organization. Mom has Vascular dementia. I was told this would be the last stop for Mom. She was introduced to assisted, then moved to advanced assisted 1 year ago, 6 mos ago moved to Autumn view since they said her needs would be better served there and there were more activities.
Now since her dementia has worsened and associated problems they say they're not set up to handle her. Like they didn't know what issues she had before moving her there.
The real dilemma that is created now is to get into any other memory care for Mom they want 2 years self support before they consider medicare.
They were not forthcoming with any of this when they moved her to Autumn from advanced assisted. This would have been a time when we had ample resources to move elsewhere, however not thinking we would have to, we stayed. They burned through her cash now were in the cold. They offered to help with this transition but gave me one name to contact for help. They pick and choose who to serve. Choose Wisely, you were warned. There has been high turnover of staff and some really good people are no longer there.

We just moved my mother into Clark Jeary, and she is happy there. The place is all one level, which very much appealed to her so she does not have to use elevators or stairs. She has a very nice comfortable room with which she is very pleased. She likes the food. There are three meals a day where she is getting help. They have been very kind. Overall, it?s a good experience.

I visited Clark Jeary, and they did a good job of showing me around and explaining things to me, so it was a good experience. I saw one room that was fine. They had a schedule of the meals for the month. I did not eat there, but it looks like a very nice place. They had a number of activities, like cards, bingo, special musical activities, and exercises. They had a refreshment area where they have ice cream and popcorn.

At Clark Jeary, the size of the apartments and the amenities they offer impress me. It is also a newer facility. The ceilings are high, so it makes the apartments feel larger than others. They have church services, bingo, and chair exercise classes, and coffee and cookies during the morning get together for the residents. They have free popcorn, cappuccino, and ice cream bars for the guests and residents. I’m just really impressed with this facility.

The staff at Clark Jeary Retirement has been very caring and very helpful with my mom. They seem to go above and beyond. They take time to sit and visit with her. It's been very nice. They have a common dining room, where they sit down and are being served at their table. If they don't like what's being served, they can order a la carte. They have activities going on all the time for anyone who would like to participate.

Clark Jeary was very nice. It wasn't as inviting as some of the other ones I visited, but it was fine. i felt that the girl who gave the tour was just passing the time. She didn't seem excited about it. The residents were having a community meeting, and some of them didn't look really happy -- I don't know why. The rooms were lovely; however, my aunt didn't care for this facility. They had a very nice chapel, but it wasn't as inviting as some of the other places.

Clark Jeary was more expensive than what we wanted to pay. The staff was all very nice. They have full-size kitchens with refrigerators, stoves, and a little bar. It was similar to a regular apartment. They offered us a meal, but we didn't have the time. They have a long waiting list. The price was out of our budget range, but the facility itself is very nice.

I visited Clark Jeary for me and my husband. The residents seemed to be very pleased there. I’ve nothing negative with the staff; they seemed fine. The rooms were a bit smaller.
