I would just like to say that the Waterford at College View North is excellent in my opinion. As a recent resident here, I have had some troubles adjusting to this lifestyle as I am quite young to require such help. I'm only 54 and while driving my semi tractor trailer, I had a very bad disabling accident. My wife was caring for me but cancer and diabetes took her from me quite unexpectedly. This as well as being undiagnosed bi-polar made my adjustment to senior care living quite difficult for me, however with the kind and caring environment and staff here at the Waterford College View North facility, instead of just passing me off to another facility, took the time and loving care to see me through this difficulty. If your searching for a place where your loved ones will be cared for and cared about, then I would most assuredly recommend The Waterford at College View North

What we liked about The Waterford at College View is that the dining room was very open. You walk in and it's very open, it has a whole bunch of round tables, and it looks very professional. It's warm and inviting, and we liked that. We went and took a look at some of the rooms, and they seem very comfortable. They're all studio-type rooms, and there's enough room for a bed, a chair, and a dresser. They also have a lifeline that people can wear around their necks just in case they happen to have a problem. Everything seemed clean and the people seemed happy. I think they can have pets there as well. They also take their people on field trips once a week. They also have a nurse practitioner come in -- one for normal, general health, and one for psychiatric care, which is something that my mom needs. There are just a lot of things to it. The Waterford has a huge dining room and activity room, there are four hallways -- two on either side -- and they lead to the bedrooms. I think that they could have a little bit more exercise equipment. The staff has been very caring, kind, thorough, and sensitive. I would say they're all-around great people we've worked with so far. I wish they had a pool, but for what they do have, it's in great shape.

My mother-in-law has been in Waterford at College View North, and so far so good. They do exercises every weekday, provide their meals and medications. She liked the food the first couple times we visited, but when we visited again she said lunch was terrible, so it depends on what day it is I guess. The staff is probably the best part about the place. The facility is not real new, but it's homey.

My mother has been a resident of The Waterford at College View for a little while now. Our experience overall so far has been very nice, and the staff has been really nice to my mom. The care is really good. It’s a very small community, and that's what makes it so nice, because my mom is a small-town person. The activities are going well. It's not home, but she seemed to like it OK.

The personnel at The Waterford at College View were very friendly. The thing we didn’t care for the facility was that the rooms seemed more institutional like instead of like home, and it was to our understanding that the meals were not home cooked. I believe they were cooked there, but they gave the indication that they were more canned food or more processed food than fresh food. When we were there, we saw people gathered in the social area, but we did not see any activities going on.

The Waterford had individual rooms on one level. The people were nice. I think it was a place for more confused memory care residents.

We visited The Waterford at College View for my aunt. They were in the process of remodeling and redecorating, so it was kind of a mess. We were more unimpressed than impressed. The rooms were dated and very, very small. The guy that gave us a tour tried to do his best, but my aunt said that she didn't like the place. We felt that the residents just wouldn't have fit in with our aunt and wouldn't have been the kind of people that she would want to be with in the facility. The dining area seemed fine, but I would get claustrophobia in their rooms. They were just way too small.
