Our beloved Aunt Ellen McCrory was here for 6 weeks before her death (cancer). She also had vascular dementia. They took such great care of her. We loved the atmosphere of this place. It was furnished beautifully and the staff were so kind and helpful. I like the way the residents enjoyed sitting together in their living room area. They even took Aunt Ellen to her favorite restaurant, Arby's, twice. Aunt Ellen's room was large so she was able to have her own double bed, favorite recliner, dressers and such. After Aunt Ellen passed peacefully onto to heaven, we gathered there to move out her things, but the truck that we were to borrow had a bad battery and would not start. A really sweet lady on staff there called another worker, Tim, and he used his truck to move Aunt Ellen's furniture back to her house. My husband wanted to tip him $20, but he would not take any money from us for his help. We are so thankful that our sweet Aunt Ellen was happy and peaceful there. You can feel the goodness there.

Not right for our family
Way under staffed and moved my mom because of it. Not enough good caregivers to watch and take care of everyone.

My oldest brother has been at CountryHouse on Old Cheney for less than a month now. It is a very nice place. He has his own room. They take really good care of him there. They are very understanding, very patient, and are willing to work with him. They do offer activities; although he doesn't really participate, he'll just sit and listen. They are doing things in the communal room, he will sit in there and listen, but he doesn't really participate too much.

This is a beautiful facility in which a friend of ours is now a resident. The staff is compassionate and knowledgeable and the atmosphere is very homey. We are happy to see our friend in such a nice place.
