There is never housekeeping so as you can imagine the floor, sinks, toilet, shower, etc. is dirty. We always came in to clean my mother's room. Very {I MEAN VERY} few staff are personable. Several times my mother would sit for 45 mins before she called me, and I would have to call the facility to tell them to go to her room and answer her call light. My Mom was a fall risk and was supposed to have help moving from place to place. She would try to wait for them, but often times they would never come. She would get up herself and the result would be she would fall. This was a huge threat for her! Sometimes she would turn her light on while on the phone with me and we would wait and then the light would turn off. So, it was shown they turned her light off in some office. There are many things wrong with this place and it breaks my heart knowing my mom spent her final years here. There was no support shown when my mom found out huge life changing medical news, a social worker never came to check on her to see that she was doing alright emotionally, even when us family members asked. There are many other things that can said but I will stop there.
-- On a positive note, the actives director was amazing. My mom loved them!

My husband is currently at Sunset Drive - A Prospera Community. The people who work there -- the social worker and everyone else -- were all wonderful. They're always available, and you can do either an in-person or a telephone conference with the therapist or the doctor. It's an attractive and clean place, and he's happy there. If he's happy, I'm happy for him too.
The staff is very cheerful and helpful. One day when I was there, a woman asked me if I was hungry. I said yes, and then she brought me some lunch. They seemed to be very caring and helpful people. They play bingo twice a week, but my husband's not interested in it. I play it, though, and they do haircuts every six weeks. The only thing is there are just a lot of brown colors; they could be a little more cheerful.
