My father was a resident of this wonderful place for about 5 years. The staff was wonderful and caring. The facility is exceptionally clean and anything you need is provided.

The beautiful view is of the National Cemetery. Occasional bathing is allowed but not encouraged of residents. Diet for diabetics or congestive heart failure is not available. Physician care is approximately once a week. Transportation is limited and at their discretion as only one driver has been hired. Activities is limited to on site as no one has been trained to drive the activities van. Activities is limited to Bingo or church singing. Social work is very unorganized and biased. Director seems unaware of problems and is unwillingly to change. Facility is comparable to a hospital setting without the safety measures.

The VA Community Living Center in Salisbury, NC is an excellent facility located in the beautiful bucolic countryside. The facility provides short term, long term and hospice care for eligible veterans.
This is a professionally managed facility that is staffed with caring and well trained nurses, doctors, attendants and administrative staff. The staff take a "small town" personal interest in their residents and provide ample opportunity for recreational and educational activities.
This facility is located on the grounds of the Salisbury VA Medical Center. This makes access to treatment very easy and convenient for residents.
