As soon as we got to Brookdale Salisbury, we received a very warm reception. It's a beautiful facility and everyone that came and we talked with was very nice. Dominic was the one that led the tour through the facility. I was extremely impressed with it. However, I know my brother cannot afford it. The size and the layout of the room were great. I don't think they need to be any bigger than that. They were clean. I know they were under construction, but it wasn't messy at all. When we went by, the residents just waved like they were truly glad to see us coming in. This one lady came up to us and asked Dominic if she could just say something and she just raved about the place. I think she'd been there for a couple of years and she said, "There is nothing I can tell you that's not good about this place." They've got very strong recommendations from the people who stay there, too. We saw the spa area and it's nice, and we saw an area that they could go and eat, or they could eat in their rooms. It's personal preference. Then we saw the big room where you could actually schedule it and have a birthday party or something to do with your family. I didn't see anything I didn't like. I wouldn't mind coming here. We really liked it. The outside was beautiful. It's nicely decorated for the fall, and it just looked well maintained as you come up to it. They're doing room-by-room updates. The staff took us into one that had been updated, and took us into another one that is recommended to be painted. And actually, it didn't even look like it needed it. They don't let it get bad. They take care of things.

Brookdale Salisbury was a nice facility. It looked clean and it smelled clean. I looked at a private room and a semi-private room. The semi-private had just two large rooms with a bathroom connecting them for each tenant. The living space seemed spacious, which is important considering my mom's in a wheelchair, so she needs wider spaces. The staff I met was friendly, accommodating, and helpful. They had a little exercise room and a little game room where people congregate, watch TV, and play games. I was happy with what I saw as far as the cleanliness of the place.

Brookdale Salisbury is well-maintained, very, very clean, and a very well-run place. They checked everybody who's coming in and out for COVID signs, as well as their staff as they enter and leave the building. The people were very, very cooperative and went out of their way to help us. Also, the residents that we talked with were very happy with the facility and the treatment they were getting. They have two different sizes of rooms. They can provide therapy up to three days a week, meal assistance, medication assistance, and all the things that most assisted living facilities offer. We saw the food offerings that they have, too, and they looked very good. My cousin has a sister who lives in Salisbury, and so this location was very convenient to her home. Overall, it's a good facility, and it's got all the things that you might want in terms of senior care.

I had an in-person tour of Brookdale Salisbury. It was excellent. They are very knowledgeable and very caring. The facility was nice. The layout was very easy to follow. It wasn't complicated. The staff members talked to me and introduced themselves. They're all very nice and polite. The staff showed me some rooms that where the dining room was, where they play cards or games, and the library. They do puzzles, paintings, and crafts. Everything was very clean. She said they usually put tablecloths on the tables, but they aren't able to yet until this COVID thing is over with.

Brookdale Salisbury was very nice. They offer three meals a day, activities, transportation, and outings when it is not a pandemic. They provide snacks between meals, they check on them every two hours, and they have a doctor in-house that you can use. The staff is very nice. I had been there before with other residents, that's why I went back there to get a tour again. I had dined with them, and their food was excellent. The place was very neat and clean.

Brookdale Salisbury is nice. I would recommend for anybody to stay there. It's just that my dad needed more care than what they can give. It was an outstanding place. They do field trips for the residents, they had a movie nights, and everybody was just interacting with each other and having a good time. Everyone that I interacted with was outstanding. It just seemed like they truly cared about the people that are there. It was a perfect type of community area. The rooms were nice, everything had fresh paint, clean and very organized. From the interactions that I had with the staff, I would rate them a 5. I didn't eat there, but according to the menu and everything that was there, it was like going to a restaurant. They also showed me an exercise room, a lounge area, a theater room and their library.

My father had been a resident at Brookdale Salisbury. It was good. He would still be there, but he fell and broke a rib and he is in rehab center now. The room was very nice. The staff members were good, but the food was not very good. My dad didn't participate in any activities, but they had some exercise class and music. The place was very nice, too.

I had an enjoyable tour in Brookdale Salisbury. Everybody was friendly and I liked the rooms. The staff members that I met were very good and knowledgeable. They told me things I didn't know and I'm grateful for their help. The apartment that I saw was double-occupancy and I liked that very much. You each have your own bedroom and you share the bathroom.

Brookdale Salisbury does not take Medicaid. They charge you by the monthly fee, and if you want the medication, that’s another $600. If you want laundry done, that’s another $200. But the people at Brookdale Salisbury are very nice. They have good rooms, even though they were small. And it’s a good place to live, but you have to be rich to live there. Brookdale is fantastic. The staff were very helpful. When I first went there, the maintenance man took me around, and he sold me. He knows the inside and out. He’s a very caring individual. The rooms were small but very nice. Their cabinets actually have locks on them, where you could put your valuables away and not worry about it. They have lots of windows. When I went there, everybody brought in the colors and decorations and looked like they were having a good time. They had a lot of Bible studies. They have an area for private dinners. If your family is coming over, you could get that room and have a private dinner with them. They have very beautiful grounds. The staff seemed very friendly and confident.

This is a very caring community. They always have smiles on their faces and are super nice to me when I come into the community. If my mother needs anything they go above and beyond to help get it done. I would recommend this community to anyone looking in the area over any other community.

Salisbury Gardens, Salisbury, NC is a beautiful facility nestled in a picturesque, quite area. My wife's grandmother stayed there for about two years before she passed. Visits were always easy to set up and the staff made the entire family feel welcome. Nanny loved the fact that it was like an extended stay in a luxury hotel, as she put it. The facility was immaculately kept, inside and out. Because she had two hip replacements and was prone to falling, we were pleased with the fact that there were no stairs involved. Salisbury Gardens is a single-level building. There is a large selection of apartment styles; making it easier to find something close to what the resident has been experiencing at home. There are great room areas in which residents can socialize or relax with crafts and other entertainment. In addition, the staff conducts daily programs to keep the residents engaged. They initiate outings, trips to the grocery store and other fun activities which are done as a group. The dining area is quite large and reminds one of a fine country restaurant. The meals we had there with Nanny were excellent. There were never any complaints from her about the food or the staff. Staff members assist with everything from getting dressed to showering to eating, depending on the needs of the individual. Service is provided 24/7 so that your loved one is never without access to caring assistance. Towards the end this became critical because in addition to the hip issues, Alzheimer's set in. The staff handled the challenges of a fast mental decline with angelic patience. They were so competent in meeting her needs that she was not removed to a medical hospice until the last month of life. Nanny had a grand old time there; always so happy. She most enjoyed the independence that Salisbury Gardens gave her. They gave the family great peace of mind during those two years. Just knowing that Nanny was safe, happy and well-cared for was golden. I would highly recommend this facility.
