Medi Home Health Agency has a 24-hour nurse on call, weekly nurse visits, and a nurse's aide to help bathe my father. They also help with his medicines and provide him with any equipment needed. So basically, they've been a really big help dealing with this. I have one coordinator and then there are different people in charge of the different kinds of care. They've been really good to me. I'm not a super high-maintenance person. So, it's definitely gone above my expectations for them. I haven't had to pay for anything since everything's gone through Medicare, so that's been seamless. Also, they call when they're coming. I guess they're not supposed to come if no one answers, but they know the situation/why he's there. So, they've actually gone above that and showed up. The people that I've dealt with are very caring and very good.

I love Medi Home Health Agency and they do a good job. We are receiving physical therapy from Mark, and occupational therapy from Lee, and both guys are good. The nursing assistant quit coming, and I don't know what happened with that. I hope she comes back. They come from Monday to Thursday.

I initial was satisfied with the help we received making my fathers transition home from the hospital. He did not have a pleasant stay there. He keep getting pnuem. and he had a sacral decubitis/ infected. My father had a massive stroke, that left him unable to speak, walk, communicate with head gestures only. The intake was wonderful until I had some concerns about a cream that was being used by the doctor. It caused more damage to his sacral decub. I brought this to the nurses Julie attention, she agreed but never said anything to the doctor. She also changed his foley shortly afterwards he started having pain and was bleeding in foley. The aid text her with an 1 hour response. julie than called me to let me know and asked if I wanted her to come back. What???? to make this short she never came back to evaluate. I TREATED. I can write a story, but what julie did not do is communicate our concerns to the doctor about the cream which was being used on stage 4 decub w/ infection(zinc paste)highly not recommended on several wound care sites, along with other doctors. I gave her several med. articles stating this also, the agency let my fathers home orders lapse- 3 days and then told me they would not take care of him. Claiming I was not compliant w/ the doctor orders. refer back to the foley. That is just one. So I am a MSN prepared nurse. I set on a natioanal board, active in cont. education in my field and have over 25 years of experience taking care of wounds to surg. procedures and if they do not have any regrets on doing just the few things I have shared with you. I would not recommend. If you do so. Than god bless you and your family. Keep in mind the doctor and nurses work for you. That does not mean to abuse them, but they obligated to address your concern in an professional manner.
