I particularly liked that Magnolia Glen had independent living with also healthcare. They had independent living on their own and they had independent living with different levels of packaged healthcare. Then, they have assisted living and they encouraged the intermingling of their populations. If somebody in assisted living wanted to eat in the dining hall of the independent living, they could do that. I liked that aspect. I liked the apartments and I looked at both the independent living and assisted living. I looked at two-bedroom apartments with one bath. The independent living had a full kitchen and the assisted living had a kitchenette. They had lovely gardens, a heated saltwater pool, a little auditorium theater, a physical therapy room, a library with computer access, a game room, a bistro or a pub, and walking paths. The whole facility backs up to a nature park. I did not eat there, but I saw the menu and the menu looked wonderful. They gave me a blueberry lemon cookie on my way out and it was delicious. I saw a resident doing a jigsaw puzzle and I saw a couple of people in what I call the gardens. They have a garden club and a woodworking club, and they have both a gentlemen's club and also a women's club. They occasionally get together once or twice a month for lunch, I think. Their activity room has Wii bowling and apparently, that's very popular among some of the men.

We toured Magnolia Glen, and it was beautiful. We really liked it, especially the outdoor area that was very pretty. I toured the independent living. That is what people are mostly interested in at that particular time. It was really very nicely decorated and very clean. I was really impressed. It was beautiful, and it looked very comfortable. I only met the young lady that took us around. She was very nice, very accommodating, very knowledgeable, and informative. She was really great. We really liked it. It was brightly, friendly, and airy.

My mother is staying at Magnolia Glen. I love the place, they are absolutely wonderful people, and they treat their seniors exceptionally well. They have managed the COVID outbreak exceptionally well. They offer just the highest quality of care and service to their seniors. My father just died in February, and he died in his apartment at Magnolia Glen. The staff cried when he died; they just loved my father, and that meant everything to me. They have exercise classes, art classes, and they play bridge. They have activities, they go out to restaurants, and they go to different activities around town. It is just outstanding. The place is beautifully kept, and they are just fabulous.

Magnolia Glen in Raleigh is a very nice place. The staff is very welcoming, kind, and accommodating. They try to work with you on your individual needs. They seem to know their residents well and they're working hard to protect them. The food there is really delicious. The rooms are nice and brand new.

I was very impressed with the tour that we were given at Magnolia Glen. They offered independent living with some additional assistance that can be added to the arrangement. That was very attractive, and very much what we were looking for. The person that gave us the tour was very good, very knowledgeable, and the rooms that we saw were very nice and well maintained. Some of the activities have been curtailed, but people were still engaged in different activities in the common areas, it was very pleasant going through the common areas, and I was impressed with the facility.

Magnolia Glen was very nice inside. I really liked them. I was there on my lunch break, so the staff quickly took me around to get a feel for the place. What I saw was really nice, and the location is perfect for me. The person who accommodated me during my tour was very good. They had a swimming pool, which stuck out in my mind. The entrance was a little old fashioned but OK.

Magnolia Glen was also very attractive. The activities were very intellectually stimulating. What I did not like about it was that they only provide breakfast every day and 20 meals a month. You can have three meals a day, but you have to pay extra. The rooms were very nice. I met a lot of staff including the activities director and two of the marketing staff, and they were very nice and very committed.
