My mom moved into Coastal Pointe last September. The overall experience is very good. They're just nice, the employees are nice, they seem happy. They've been very patient with my mother. The assisted living where she's in is like in a big square. The rooms and the interior outdoor area are nice because it's partly shaded, but you can be in the sun. This is shaded with nice chairs. The paint is nice, the building is put together well, the materials used to build it seem sturdy. It's nice. The staff is wonderful. The only issue I've had is getting the supplements. My mother just takes supplements. She's not on any prescription medication, and it seems like I just had an issue getting that straight with them. Most of them have been fantastic. The food is really good. I eat with her a lot, and they're really good. My mother likes it. They do have a variety of activities. They're really good about trying to encourage her to come.

I liked Coastal Pointe because it was close to where I live, so it'll make it easy to visit. It is fairly new, so obviously it's clean and beautiful. The lady that gave us the tour was very nice, knowledgeable, and helpful. They have a lot of what we're looking for. They highly encourage the residents to eat in the dining hall together, so they can be amongst other people. They do activities a couple of times a day to get them out of their rooms. They have an outside atrium that cannot be accessed except from the building. They can sit outside and play games. They have stuff for them to do inside and outside. They have a memory care unit for when we need that; it'll be a smoother transition for my mom.

My friend has moved into Coastal Pointe. He's doing activities, he's not in a catatonic state, and he's playing bingo every Tuesday. Every other week I get to hear good news that he's not nasty looking anymore. His appearance is wonderful; he's well kept up. Their clothes are washed separately, they don't go in with other patients' clothes. The place is absolutely beautiful; it is a ninety-nine grade, and it's two years old. They have gardens, and they have a fountain out there. They have chairs out there and shaded areas, he loves it. They have nurses; they have real nurses and a licensed CNA. They go above and beyond. I'm just amazed, walk-in showers, everything's designed for a patient with needs. Oh my gosh, the food should be a ten. They have a chef that is phenomenal, the food is delicious, and you can go and eat with your loved one for five bucks. You can't eat out for $5, not even at McDonald's, and get the quality food we got. They have bingo, and they have Elvis night; they have a picture of him on the wall with his little attached sideburns and Elvis glasses on. That Elvis guy comes up and they have Elvis night. They have a library, a coffee bar, a theater. It's just amazing, and they're not astronomically priced. I would rate the value for money a five plus. I can lay down at night and not worry about him. I am serious, he has come out of a catatonic state, and he is acting like himself again.
