We went to look at Lake Pointe Landing. We looked at the two-bedroom apartment and the building. It was a very comfortable and very nice layout. Most of the apartments looked like they had a balcony screened in, which was nice. The dining area, kitchen, and laundry were a little tight. But all of the other rooms were a good size. The assisted living facility has very nice one-bedroom apartments with a little kitchenette area. They had a library, a pool, and a lot of nice little areas to sit in. We met a resident because she showed us her apartment, and she enjoys it there. She said the meals were wonderful. The people are nice. I had an overall good feeling.

My parents are at Lake Pointe Landing Retirement. It's excellent, and I think it's a great place. It's a beautiful place to live and has good assisted care. They've got independent living too. My parents were moved from independent living to assisted living. They're also paying a little bit extra to have somebody come in to do extra assistance in the mornings and the evenings. They both need a lot of care right now, so they're paying extra to get some additional help. There are lots of activities available there, but both are not able to get around right now. They have excellent food there. They've got first-class chefs to prepare the meals, and the food is great. They're currently living in an apartment that's 800 square feet (I think). It's got 2 bedrooms with 2 full baths. One has a walk-in shower, and one has a bath shower. There are those 2 bedrooms and in between there's kind of a combination dining room, a living room, and a small kitchenette. That seems to be plenty for them at this point. There are various other accommodations, especially if you're independent living. There are patio homes. There are also apartments that range anywhere from a studio, 1-bedroom to 3-bedroom. They were in the 3-bedroom before they moved into assisted living. They had 1,200 square feet, and it was quite nice. It's a 3-bedroom with a kitchen, a kind of a living room, and dining room. The facility is just the prettiest spot I've seen. The grounds are well maintained. It's in a beautiful setting. It's got a little lake behind one of the main buildings, and it's quite safe. I've compared it to other places, including places down here in Florida. I think it's a great value for money. None of these places are inexpensive, but one nice thing is that you're kind of paying as you go. You're not expected to put $100,000 down before moving in. These places aren't cheap, but I think Lake Pointe is reasonable (comparatively speaking). They have regular performances by local artists. They have an exercise room, game rooms, a library, and various lounges around the building. They take people out on trips regularly. It sounds to me like it's a pretty full schedule, and they have lots of activities that people are interested in participating in. They also have shuttle services to local shopping, doctors' appointments, and stuff like that so I'm really impressed.

We have had several friends and relatives who have been in area Assisted Living facilities. Biggest issue: Though the Bridge facility was clean, lovely and comfortable, but the overall admin and staff attitude is risky to approach about any issue. They lack objectivity and are defensive. Relatives who have worked there say admin and staff label families who take issue as complainers. Phone and internet was the slowest ever so computer use and streaming movies was frustrating and most often impossible. Unless they change their perspective on dealing with complaints/concerns and quality control, we don't recommend The Bridge.

The Bridge at Lake Pointe Landing is a beautiful, new, clean, and well-appointed facility in a convenient location. Everything about it is top notch, and it is not overpriced. The atmosphere is very casual and very elegant at the same time. The rooms were nice and security is very good because they have key fobs and always know where all of the employees and residents are. A bad computer, Wi-Fi, and bad Internet were the only struggles we had there.

Lake Pointe was excellent and wonderful, but it was way over my relative's budget. We did take a tour, and it's a five-star hotel. They have everything that anybody would want if they could afford it. It was a nice place with wonderful meals. The food was excellent. They have a menu that you can order from. It's posh.

My wife's step-mother used to live at the Bridge at Lake Pointe Landing for three months. The room that she was in is spacious enough, and the facility itself was presented very well. The RNs and LPNs on scene 24 hours a day was most important. The food was good, and the dining setup was very good. They have a lot of activities planned out for the day each day. They had musicians come in to play, and they have scenic rides. They have games and arts and crafts scheduled almost every day. We thought the security was good, but it appears it was a little questionable. The one thing they can improve on is that the staff needs to pay more attention to the residents. We thought they were accommodating, but we found that it wasn't the case. I would not recommend this place to others at this time.

My mother-in-law is in Lake Pointe. She has a simple apartment with a living room, kitchen, bedroom, and bath. There is a second room that can be used as an office. The food is good, and the dining room is nice with nice furniture.

The Bridge at Lake Pointe Landing was very nice, very organized, very clean, and it was very large, which was my concern because our aunt has dementia, and I was worried she would be confused in that setting. But I have talked to people, and they seem to feel that the residents there are well taken care of, so we are considering it. The staff seemed busy, involved, active, and kind. The studio was too small, and we kind of looked at the one-bedroom situation. We felt like the size was small but adequate for what she'll probably eventually need. It seemed they had a full activity schedule, and that was one of the things we liked about that place.

Lake Pointe Landing was very nice. It had beautiful grounds. The food and their dining room were both excellent. They had a rehab place where doctors sent patients that didn't live there, which was very good. It was a little more expensive, but it is was an excellent facility. I would recommend them to others if they could afford it.

The Bridge at Lake Pointe Landings Retirement had 102 units in two floors. So, it is a very large facility. My wife used to go to a poetry group there and I was able to observe the staff. I was very impressed with them. The outstanding characteristic is the safety and security of their residence, they have 24-hour security that manned the main door. All of the other doors were alarmed. We were invited for lunch there. My understanding under the North Carolina State regulations, the menus throughout the year on these facilities were set by the State and there has to be at least one alternative on each meals. There was a selection of food and they serve breakfast in your room. It if hadn't been for the proximity and the smaller size of the facility where my wife's now, I would have been comfortable with my wife being at Lake Pointe Landings.

I went with my daughter and son-in-law at Lake Pointe Landing. The place is so wonderful and we couldn't just pass it up. What really sold us was that they have little cottages. The first thing that appealed to me was that they have a chapel and a Catholic service every Sunday. They also have an exercise room and a beautiful library. They have a very active list of things to do. They do tours and every week they take the residence to the bank, to the hospital, or to their doctor's appointments. The staff were very cooperative.
