Arbor Landing at Hampstead is a beautiful facility. It's light and airy. Their dining room is beautiful. They have a theater with some nice recliners. They have lots of activities. The staff there were very friendly, and the residents said the food was delicious. Now, my in-laws didn't move in there because we were looking for somewhere close to them to be with us so that just didn't work.

We went to Arbor Landing at Hampstead. I was impressed that they are going to review or talk to my friend and find out at what level she needs to be placed before we do it. It was very clean and very spacious. The layout was inviting and comfortable. Everything is there available not too far away, so we liked that. The apartments were big and spacious. The bathroom was amazing. We liked the security part of it, too, and the fact that they eat in the dining area. They have two shifts for each meal, so it makes the dining room not as crowded with all the concerns and stuff going on. There are so many activities.
I liked the place. It was so nice. The staff was so nice. Everybody said hello. They all went out of their way to make us feel comfortable and always smiling. We weren't there at dining time, but I looked into the kitchen and it's huge. It looked like it was professional looking and clean. They had a room where they had activities. They had bingo, puzzles, and they were grouped there that the staff introduced us to. We got to talk to them for a little while. The one-bedroom was spacious and clean, and it would be perfect for what my friend needs. Everything was so nice. My friend will end up being in the memory care unit later on in her life, so we were really happy that they had that. We would be able to transfer from where she's at just right there behind it.

I visited Arbor Landing at Hampstead and it was good, I was impressed with the facility. It's one of the two that we are considering. The staff was really good, very pleasant, and easy to talk to. They answered all of my questions. It was a good tour.
It's also clean and the room was a good size. The facility was well-maintained. They didn't have a swimming pool, so if somebody would like a pool, they won't find one there.

I was able to go to the lobby of Arbor Landing at Hampstead. They wouldn't let me in because of the COVID. It looked very nice and they sent me a virtual tour; it also looked very nice. I thought the façade was beautiful and very cheerful looking. The layout of the apartment looked very nice. They didn't give me any food. I think there was a gym. The staff seemed pretty nice, but my son had called my husband's case and they said they were only able to accommodate him in memory care. Of course I can't go in there because I couldn't afford to put him in memory care, and then put me next to him in the apartment, so I said it's not going to work. I looked in the assisted living. I really liked that it was very new. It had fun and cheerful colors. It looked like a happy place and it had elegance.

Arbor Landing at Hampstead was very friendly. It was a new place and they were still developing. The living atmosphere was good and friendly. The dining area was nice; it was family style and very comfortable looking. The rooms were nice size and definitely more affordable. You can choose what services you want. As far as what's included, you have shower assistance and morning and evening care. You also have medication, meals and events reminders. They were pretty good and very friendly. They also showed me the rooms where they do activities. They had decorating and making ornaments, but I didn't actually see it going on. Also they had a nurse on staff.

This facility has worked through a number of growing pains since its opening. The staff are generally very nice and the facility is essentially new. From the time my extended family moved into the facility the food has been a concern. After a number of visits (witnessing meal time) the food is extremely poor quality. Most residents have voiced concerns regarding the food and during my most recent visit the meat portion of plate was not easily identifiable. On at least one occasion, a resident was asked to leave the dining room after having complained about the quality of food. I have heard other relatives of guests are evaluating a more formal complaint to the state/local authorities regarding the food quality. The residents generally don't have a great deal of excitement onsite, however for most meal time is typically the highlight of the day making this issue more important. After 6 months it does not appear as though management is making improvements.
