I visited Inn of Williamston. The administrator was really nice. She took us around and showed us the facility. She was very nice and explained everything. The residents were gathered in a central location, and it seemed like they were having a great time. Every time a visitor came in, they were excited and wanted to talk to you. I found that very interesting and funny. The staff was great. The whole facility needed to be updated. The bathroom had a terrible odor, but it was the age of the home. They had a menu showing what they were having for breakfast and lunch.

I liked the administrator in Vintage Inn. She was very open, she came across as someone who gave a hoot, and she was more than willing to work with folks. We were fine with Vintage Inn; we liked the overall package including pricing.

I will take each one as it comes. I only know of the 1st shift staff at Vintage Inn. When I came through the doors, I was greeted by the first CNA and asked could they be of any assistance. She not only gave me directions, but guided me to the patient's rooms. Every CNA/RN I came in contact with greeted me. I noticed that the nursing staff treated the patients with dignity, more like a person or family vs a patient. The amenities there such as the dining hall, game room, tv room was great! Any in between snacks the tenants needed were readily available and the meals looked and smelled good. The patients there seemed happy, no one talking about the food or of a lack of activity. Activities were laid out and every resident had knowledge of what time each one would occur. The facilities were clean, floors clean. I even touched doorframes and they were clean. The patient's rooms smelled and looked fresh and clean. No grumbling at all. The staff went above and beyond their normal duties, even the cleaning crew was good. The outside grounds were well cared for like the grass cut and flowers taken care of. There was more than enough space on the porch for the residents to sit in comfortable rocking chairs. The only bad thing I noticed was the establishment being short staffed. Too many residents per nursing staff. That could be a problem depending on the sickness of the residents. Overall, Vintage Inn is a place I would want my relatives to go to if the need arises.
