We chose Heritage Greens for my sister because they had better resources and were more accommodating to her needs. What I liked best is they have a variety of activities. They have activities for people that are interested in music, the arts, exercising, getting to know each other, and outings for shopping or outings to events. They have a very full calendar of things for people to do regardless of what their interests or age might be. The rooms are very good in terms of ease to become familiar with. The layout is more circular than rectangular, so that allows for more interaction with other people in other departments. The staff is very professional, very timely, and very receptive. I haven't tasted the food, but my sister says she likes it a lot.

Heritage Greens is the one that I'm preferring right now. In the room, they don't have that heating unit on the wall that makes a lot of noise. The only thing I didn't like was the fact that meals were not included. They were going to give me one meal a day for a year, and TV was not included. The apartment's size, layout, and everything else was fine. They even had a bay window in the apartment. They had a library and an outdoor area. I had lunch there, and their meals were very good.

My mom has moved into Heritage Greens. We chose it because it was the best of the bunch. It had the most activities, and that was a big one that I was interested in. It's very clean and very well-kept. They have lots of activities for seniors. Also, they were very easy to work with and get information on the establishment. They have overnight trips and shopping trips. My mom's already been to the Van Gogh exhibit in Raleigh. They have long trips (what I would say full day trips). The amenities are wonderful. Their food's very good, and they offer a café. The staff were excellent. I haven't met anybody that falls down on that. They're all cordial and efficient.

My sister has been in Heritage Greens for three weeks now. There are different packages, but she bought a two meal a day package. She makes her own breakfast, usually oatmeal. She has lunch and dinner there, and she likes it. I've had a meal or two there, and I thought it was good. It's not great, but it's good; that's good enough. The activities are good. The handyman service is great. I ordered her a day bed and had it delivered there. They put in a maintenance request, and one of those guys put it together for her. I like that a lot. They have medical/doctor transportation program. You fill out a card at least 72 in advance, and they will take you to your doctor's appointment. I'm not really dissatisfied with anything; I've been pleased with everything so far. It's a very nice building, very nice units, and nice community spaces. I feel like it's a good deal. She has a nice studio apartment, two meals a day, and she gets her room cleaned twice a month. It seems like a friendly place.

Heritage Greens was very clean and pleasant. The staff was very friendly and knowledgeable. They had all the amenities in the room, as well as a little cafe where they could take their breakfast or lunch if they didn't want to go upstairs to the cafeteria. There was a courtyard, a little garden area, and a little patio area where they had a grill if they wanted to have cookouts.

I toured Heritage Greens. I saw the people there, and the units that I went in to see were nice. They were clean and looked pretty nice, and there's a lot of things going on there. The man who was the marketer was really friendly and was offering all kinds of perks to get me to come on there. I saw their 1-bedroom and 2-bedroom apartments, they were nothing outstanding but they were clean and looked like they could work for me. They're located near I-40 so it's easy to get to.

I was very impressed with Heritage Greens, and I think it was pivotal in getting my brother and his wife to decide that they wanted to move there. The thing that interested me so much is that in their independent living part, they have this list of all kinds of other services, like an a la carte list. If you're in independent living, but you still need help every morning, getting yourself organized or taking a shower or whatever, they can arrange for that, but you pay for it. They're not connected to any big package or anything. If you need it for two weeks, fine, if you need it for two years, fine. I think it's a brilliant idea. I certainly was impressed by it. It's really a good idea to have options like that, that people can select when needed. The apartments were very nice and nice-sized. They're oriented mostly to the east, so they get a lot of good light. I only met the marketing director, and I was very impressed with him. They were very cordial. I just saw their front porch area and the entry area, but I didn't really see any of the exercises or anything like that.

Heritage Greens was very nice. The staff, the facility, everything was excellent. It's very clean and looked kept very well. I was impressed with everything. They had a game room, a library, and an exercise room. It was great. They had a courtyard and it was good. It's well maintained. Everybody was friendly and caring from the minute we walked in (the residents as well as the staff). It was a very friendly place.

I went to Heritage Greens. I love the entrance to it, I love the inside of it, and I love the common rooms and the dining room. They had this monstrous fish tank that was just beautiful. They served us lunch, and I was very disappointed with the food. I really don't like the salesperson. I put down $500 because I thought this is going to be the place. I called the saleslady and I said I've decided not to go with Heritage Greens. I said I understand I won't get the $500 back, and then she started asking me some questions, which was fine. When I told her the deal I got on the other place, she said, "You know, that's just too good to be true." I didn't like that. It's like telling me I'm stupid and I've made the wrong decision. I didn't think that was professional at all. She even called again a few days later just to confirm, and I said I took the other one. I was not impressed with the sales rep at all. The other people seemed very nice. The apartment was on the first floor. It was very dark, but it was very pretty. They had crown molding and it was painted a beautiful color, but it was very dark. Outside the window, there were hedges, which covered almost the entire window, so I wouldn't have gotten a whole lot of light coming in. It almost felt like I was in a basement. The kitchen was absolutely absurd. The kitchen sink was so small, and it didn't make sense to me. I also did not like their pricing at all. They offered you a price for the apartment, but for your meals, you could choose one of three plans. You could choose the bronze, the silver, or gold. The silver, you got two meals a day, and the gold, you got three meals a day. I also thought the pricing for the meals, if I was going to bring in a guest to have dinner with me, was absolutely ridiculous. The food was not good, and I would never have paid that at a restaurant for that kind of food. I saw how easily they could increase prices. If not on the room itself, they could do it on the meals anytime they wanted to. It's a beautiful place and I think a lot of people enjoy it, but I was pretty much out of their price range when I started adding in all the other things.

My mother has been placed at Heritage Greens. We like it. It's a really nice facility, it's clean, and there are a lot of staff there who are involved with the residents and get them active. Compared to the other place we visited, I think Heritage Greens is a little bit better kept up and there are more staff. It's just a little bit different experience.

The residents at Heritage Greens were very active and moving around. They had a band playing music and singing. It's a very small facility, which I didn't like, but it was really nice. They give you a little stovetop, but the room itself was very small. The staff during the tour was great. They had an activity room and a dinette area that went out on to a patio. The dining area looked nice.

Moved our mother here from another retirement community almost 2 years ago. Excellent staff, friendly, helpful. Do very nice job helping new residents become familiar with facility and have been extremely responsive to any questions or concerns about mother's ongoing care. Food is excellent and with many options including informal cafe. Rooms are very nice and staff has been great in helping to make changes in room to accommodate Mom's specific needs.

Our experience so far with Heritage Greens has been very good. My grandmother is very pleased, and the staff is wonderful. They have different floor plans. My grandmother is in a private studio apartment with her own bathroom, it's very nice, clean and spacious. They have their in-house rehab team there. They also have a fantastic activities department that takes them on outings outside the community several times a week. They have about six to seven activities during the day like music, crafting, or going out to eat. They’re very appropriate, it's just like a true retirement setup. What stands out is the fact that the place is very home-like and not very institutional at all. It's very private but very accessible to the health care staff as well. So my grandmother is monitored but at the same time she has her own privacy. They have a beauty salon, a music and movie room, chapel and workout room. There's also a beautiful dining room, but then they have a separate café if you don't want a formal meal. The staff is wonderful, and the food is really good. They keep the place very clean and actually more cost effective than assisted living.

Heritage Greens is excellent. The staff is unbelievable and I'm happy with my brand-new, updated, 1-bedroom apartment. There are so many activities and the food is delicious.
