My sister has been at this facility for about 2 weeks. She has called me on at least two occasions in tears because of the poor care she is receiving. No one checks on them, the call bell is ignored. There are no activities, are you kidding? Today she never saw anyone until 5 pm and that was kitchen staff. No nursing staff checked on her at all, yet when I called and spoke to a nurse she told me that my sister was fine, no complaints, issues or fever. How would she know if she never went in the room?? The food is disgusting. They don't get a choice. Who in their right mind serves senior citizens with mobility issues saurkraut? Nurses aides up and down the hallways at night banging doors, in patient rooms going through drawers and closets. Other staff members using loud foul language in the hallways...........Twice now my sister has said she is in hell. The only person she trusts is her rehab tech and one or two aids. I've talked to the nurses and told them I am worried that my sister is getting another UTI infection that caused her to have sepsis. She's having the same symptoms, yet they have failed to get her a urine test and don't seem to care. I'd stay clear of this place at all cost. Unfortunately my sister didn't have a choice.

This is the ONLY place residents receive more than 2 days of rehab. My loved one was back on her feet in no time. Staff was stretched but took care of my loved one's needs.

Guardian in Greensboro

Guilford Health Care Center was our first experience with Rehab Centers. My sister needed rehab therapy after a terrible fall. As her guardian, I needed to choose from a list of rehab centers that were Medicare approved and that worked with the Cone Health System in Greensboro. We popped in for a tour, without any notice to the staff. The facility was clean, did not smell, the staff appeared to be happy in their work and the residents / patients were not parked in the hallway forgotten. We were told that my sister, who has Down's Syndrome, could be treated there with no issues. We had exceptional service - literally from admission to discharge. The staff treated my sister with dignity and respect, keeping in mind her reduced capacity during her recovery. The staff went out of their way to ensure her safety and well being. They found unique ways to increase her healing and rebuilding her life skills. The staff were tremendously gracious and sincerely loving towards my sister. The meals were not typical "nursing home" foods. They smelled good, many items to choose from and a few "off menu choices" if you did not like the main features. The dining staff new my sister's name, her likes and dislikes and did everything they could do to accommodate her preferences. The housekeeping staff were friendly and did a fantastic job of keeping the center clean and spotless! The PT, OT and Speech Therapy staff were wonderful, kind and went above and beyond in my sister's therapy. Every staff member at GHCC that came in contact with my sister greeted her by her name, asked her how she was doing and most gave her hugs. There were activities that included musicians, bingo, spiritual services, etc. All I can say is that we had a wonderful experience and would recommend this facility.

We went on a Saturday unannounced to Guilford Health Care Center. The people were very friendly and gave us a tour of the whole place. It was very clean, all the residents seemed to be happy, and there were a bunch of them out on the porch, talking, and having a nice time. They had menus posted up on the wall for what they were going to have for lunch and dinner, and the menu seemed very nice. They explained everything to us, they were very kind, and we really liked it. They have a long-term section and a rehab section. They have a nice rehab room with a bunch of equipment. They showed us a lot of different kinds of room, and there's lots of halls for everyone to walk down. They also have a porch outside for everyone to sit on.

My mother has been here for almost a month now for rehabilitation after surgery. The staff is wonderful and I mean ALL of them from the techs, nurses, therapist to the administrators and if I left someone off this list it was indeed a mistake because I also have an Aunt here as well so I am here a lot and have met a lot of the staff so I see the great care that is given to my love ones daily. Thank you all for all you do to make this stay a pleasant one and I thank my cousin for recommending this facility!

My mother has been at this facility for three weeks now in rehab for a traumatic brain injury. The staff at this facility has been unbelievable. Courteous, nice and always thinking of the patients and their families. I would highly recommend this facility.

I went to visit my neighbor on 12/18/16 and found his foot in an awful condition. My friend is a diabetic so I was concerned for him. I walked into the hall looking for help and was directed to the nurse on duty Tracy C. She sprung into action right away looking at and evaluating the condition of my friend's foot. She left the room and returned quickly with meds and supplies to take care of the situation. She is truly a blessing to this facility and the residents there. Never missed a beat. Thanks Tracy.I appreciated what you did.

My dad entered here for rehabilitation care. Upon arrival, they were told that he was sick, and a fall risk. The staff assured us that he wad not going to fall. After only two days of being there, my dad did fall out of bed. The staff was not attentive at all. He was placed in a room with someone who was aggressive, and kept the room very hot all the time. We had to constantly worry if he would be ok. Our overall experience with them was very horrible. Needless to say that after the fall, and he was taken to hospital, we did not return.

My 92 year old mother was sent here for a week of rehab services after hospitalization. We were wary, but needlessly. The staff were very helpful, accommodating, and quick to respond. She loved the food, which was astonishing because she is a finicky eater and just lost 20 pounds, but raved about how good everything tasted. Physical and occupational therapy staff were wonderful to her and she responded well as a result. One of her family were with her for 10 hours a day for the entire week, so it is difficult to know what the care would be like if we were not present, but my mother was completely satisfied. She enjoyed a large private room, good bathroom faciIities, and a pleasant home-like environment. I cannot comment on the long-term care side.

We found this facility to be the best nursing home for the care my grandmother needed by far than all others we toured. We were extremely please with the care our family member recieved. Please disregard the first question on the survey I answer. I need felt any pressure to purchase anything from the provider ,I click the wrong answer. This place has been a just nursing home for her. We all worry when you have to place a love one in a nursing home.

After a horrible experience at another nursing home, it was nice to find Guilford Health Care. The staff was very good. The facility was clean, although the room could have used a fresh-up with a little paint. The medical care was quite adequate. The food was good - I think I'd describe it as healthy homestyle. Physical and occupational therapy seemed good, too.
