My mom is at Brookdale Northwest Greensboro. It's been fine, the problem is they don't have enough workers because of COVID and they're having trouble getting workers. So, therefore, she's had limited resources. The facility is fine, it's liveable. They decorate it nicely, it's not always the cleanest but they're working with limited staff so I get that. The food is her biggest complaint. They give very small portions, and there are no options, it's just whatever the meal is then that's the meal. They give them a sandwich just about every night. Breakfast is great, she loves breakfast. They do bingo, they occasionally have somebody come in to sing, and she loves the Bible study on Wednesdays. They just aren't doing much right now. We're paying $3,000 a month but my mom has to wash clothes because they lose her clothes, and she has to clean her own room because they don't clean it very well. So as far as that goes, I don't think it's very good value for money.

I went to Brookdale Northwest Greensboro and spoke to Hailey there. She and the nurse and somebody else went to visit my dad, and they said they wouldn't be able to provide the care that he needed. It looked very clean. Everybody was very nice. The property itself was really nice. It was shaded and had lots of trees. It seemed like you were living out in the country, even though it's not really the country. They had activities going on and stuff like that. I think it was about lunchtime when I was there. I saw them all going into the cafeteria. I saw one room. I think they called it like a Jack and Jill type thing where you share a foyer and a bathroom, and then they have separate bedrooms. It looked nice, but that was gonna be about $3800 a month. I only talked to was Hailey. I had a phone follow-up question, but it was after we knew that dad wasn't gonna be going there. She answered back. I didn't actually tour a whole lot of the area, but everything was clean. It didn't smell bad like where my dad's at now.

I was impressed with Brookdale Northwest Greensboro. It was a little smaller, but I liked the community. It was on one level. I had a very nice experience. I was able to walk around the facility using my rollator, and it was very comfortable. Their recreation room has all the equipment I need for my neuro rehab. They have a salon. I was very impressed by how much the person there wanted to help me with community resources, like offering names of realtors and a service where they come into your home, help you dispose of things you no longer need, and pack the things you want to take. The people there talked about their famous French toast breakfast food.

We got my mother into Brookdale Northwest Greensboro. She's doing great there. She really likes it. They're very friendly and very sweet. The room is adequate for her. I do wish they had painted it before she went in, but other than that, she's got it looking like her own home. It's very comfortable. There are plenty of activities. They went out somewhere last Saturday. They drove up to the country somewhere, and they took them for lunch, but Mother hasn't gone yet. She is getting involved in Bible study. They have bingo, but she's not much for that. They do puzzle tables, and they have a lot of brain activity games so that they can engage in that. My mother enjoys doing those kinds of things. The lady that does them is just super. She's very vivacious. They have housekeeping. Now, they have had some difficulty hiring people, but they do get it done with the staff they have. They are running them pretty thin, but right now, it's just difficult everywhere. The first week my mother was there, they were looking to hire more people to help with the cleaning and in the kitchen. They've got that figured out now. My mother is very happy. She'll tell you that she's happy and she likes the people. They assigned her with two other ladies that they felt she'd be compatible with, and she just loves having meals with them. And then she is meeting some of the other people that are there, and everybody is just very nice and friendly. I haven't been able to try the food, but my mother says it's very good. It's a very homey feeling when you go in. It's clean and it's nice.

I saw Brookdale Northwest Greensboro from the outside through the windows. The staff was better than the other place I visited. They did not have very many amenities. They had a dining hall and a little room to play bingo. I didn't get to go inside, so it's really hard to give a proper recommendation.

I have a nephew who is a patient at Brookdale Northwest Greensboro and I have been disappointed in the cleanliness of his room. Some of the care workers take their time doing anything. I realized that they probably have a couple hundred patients there and they can't stop to take care of just one at one time. One time he was sitting in wet clothes for 45 minutes. I went to ask somebody to help him for the third time and they finally did. I never heard him complain about anything except for the service. The only staff member I interacted with were the people who worked on the floor where he was at. They just did not act like they cared, they were just there for a job, and that was the feeling I got each time. I thought the facilities were pretty good.

We toured Brookdale Northwest Greensboro. The staff member was great. He was very informative. I was very impressed that they seemed to do a good job of cleaning the rooms up when they turned them over. However, the rooms were smaller than I had thought. The dining room seemed fine. They were having a meal when I got there, and the staff seemed to be engaged with the residents. The price was more affordable. It was a small community, but it seemed to be well kept.

Brookdale Northwest Greensboro was the one that was able to meet my budget, but I was concerned with them because I had a feedback on the add-ons that they do when a patient lives there. For example, if somebody needs to push their father around in their wheelchair, there is an added cost there. However, the staff was willing to work with me. He was inquisitive and he asked me all the right questions. They're very patient and very understanding. They listened to me very well. They followed up, and they told me about the promotions that they have. I was pleased about that.

I have been very pleased with Brookdale Northwest Greensboro. The staff is very knowledgeable and friendly. The place is nice, light, and bright. There are lots of windows. I'm quite happy with this place. He likes the food too. I have seen the people eating there and they seem to be happy, just talking and eating like you would see in a restaurant. The room is an ample size. My husband is sharing a room, but it is not too crowded. He has his own closet. They have an attached bathroom for their room. They have a nice shower with a fold-down seat and a hand-held shower. The room is clean and well kept. They have activities, but my husband has not been drawn into any of them. It is not their fault because he prefers to be by himself. Overall, it is a good value for the money.

I've moved into Brookdale Northwest Greensboro. I'm very satisfied with the grounds, the facilities, and the location. My room is very pleasant. Brookdale Northwest Greensboro has very good staff. They are very helpful, very pleasant, and very easy to get along with. I look at the schedule everyday and try to keep up with the activities going on. They have various activities like Bingo and piano playing, and they have an activity room.

My uncle was at Brookdale Northwest Greensboro. It was a dismal place because you saw all these people sitting in their wheelchairs or in one of the chairs in the living area, and it was like either they didn't know they were in the world or they had been drugged. It was like they weren't there. That's very depressing. There weren't choices for dining. They all sat down at the same time and their drinks and food were brought out to them. I never saw anything that was appetizing. My uncle would have a bowl of soup, and if he got a plate, there wasn't that much on it. It looked more like institution food. I never saw my uncle participate in anything except the physical therapy. He did that for six weeks or so and then they turned him over to occupational. They need to be more responsive. When the residents need to go to the bathroom, they need to answer that so that they can help them get in there and do it.

It was a very positive experience at Brookdale Northwest Greensboro. The lady we spoke with was very knowledgeable and very good. The problem that we had was that my mother was not ready for that level of care. My father was ready, but my mother was not. The rooms were fine; they were a nice size and appeared to be very clean. I did not smell any type of odor when I was there. Once again, it was just that my mother was not ready for that level of care. When she saw the little, old ladies in their wheelchairs, she was totally turned off. The building was very clean. I could tell it was an older building, but I think the staff is doing the best they can do with what they have to work with because it is an older building.

Brookdale Northwest was very good. The person that manages that facility is very helpful. I am going back out there again next week as that maybe the place that we put my mom. They have special events for holidays, they celebrate different countries, like they all have a week where they are celebrating Peru. All the music, performances, and meals from Peru. They have a prom and they crown the king and the queen of the prom. They have somebody come in and do dances. It’s a residential neighborhood, very well maintained. It’s not too far from the airport, so it’s in a very nice part of Greensboro. There wouldn’t be any issues or concerns about safety. The rooms were nice, spacious, clean and very well-kept. It’s homey.

My visit at Brookdale Northwest Greensboro (Formerly Greensboro Manor) made a good impression. The layout was very serene and well taken care of, well kept up, shaded, and green. It looked nice. Walking in felt nice as well. The service and the attention that I got from the people that we met with was good. They were on time and ready for us. The rooms were nice and clean. They were small, but appropriate for an assisted living.

They were very kind at Greensboro Manor. They saw us last minute, and they just kind of squeezed us in. I thought that was very kind and thoughtful of them to let us come in there quickly. They had a good room selection and a nice dining facility. The people were very informative and very helpful. It was quite affordable. The activity director was quite impressive, and the activities that they had were excellent. I really enjoyed speaking with the activity director.

Greensboro Manor is a very nice community. There are only 29 people there, so it's small. It's very clean and organized. The setup in the area that you walk into is very comfortable. The people that live there enjoy it and they say good things about it. The food is good, too.

I've visited Brookdale and they had lots of activities. They had a very attentive staff. It's one of the newest facilities, so there's nothing wrong with their rooms or anything like that. It just doesn't meet the needs of my mother. But if I needed to have someone go to a place, that would probably be one of the top places on my list.

My grandmother was a resident here. While the facilities looked nice initially, the care she received was horrible. She was left in her room by herself for hours even though we had asked for assistance every 2 hours and they assured us they would do that. Several times we got there in the morning and she was soiled and disoriented. Her room wasn't kept clean and food would left in her room for hours. During the weekend, no supervisor was there and twice she fell. No one could ever tell us what happened. The last fall, she was taken to the hospital, where she died. When we returned to home to find out what happened, no one could tell us anything, although my grandmother had a black eye and large cut of her eye. If you have a loved one who needs care, please look elsewhere.

Greensboro Manor looked like your typical rest home, outside and in. Everything looked so plain, even the staff. Most of them had not smiles on their faces and the patients walked around as if they were comatose. I am not sure if I just went on an off day but it was a very bleak Saturday for the most part. I started by walking through the front doors and seeing if I could get a tour which was rejected because there was no one to show me around which was fine I do understand that sometimes. So I sat back down and just waited for a few minutes to act like I was playing on my phone. I did this to pay attention to my surroundings. Most of the staff were going about their business and the patients were going about theirs. You could hear patients in the background yelling for whatever reason I am not sure but it cannot be good I am sure. I cannot recommend this facility based on this fact alone. I sat there for five minutes listening to a patient wail and I heard no caretakers at least raise their voice to get help. I am a former Army nurse and I know the in'a and out's of medicine and something just wasn't right.

My stepmother's grandmother was a resident at Greensboro Manor. I have to admit, up until she was admitted, I had never set foot in a residence home that I enjoyed. In my experience, facilities were often dreadfully dreary, with staff members that didn't seem to care one way or another about their patients.This was not the case with the Manor. Nanny, as we called her, had to be admitted after her second stroke, due to a loss of memory and motor function. The staff there was amazing, as far as taking care of Nanny while still leaving her the illusion of her independence. Their visitation policies were very pleasant, and they had a lovely little sitting room or a spacious courtyard in which to visit. We would stay for hours, and we rarely, if ever, felt pressured to leave by the staff. Nanny had a few more strokes before she finally passed away, and the staff was always right there to help her, and to contact my stepmother with updates to her condition. It was a relief knowing she was so well taken care of.The only negative aspect is the blandness of the interior. It has been my experience that patients do better when they are surrounded by pleasantries and optimism. I, personally, would have liked to see walls that weren't white, or at least some form of decoration. Around the holidays were always fine, but the hallways seemed painfully bland at other points during the year.All in all, I feel that the Manor is an excellent choice for an assisted living facility. I would recommend them to anyone.
