My mom smokes and most assisted living will not let her smoke, and Summit Place of Kings Mountain is one of those. It's a very nice place. The staff was very attentive and great in answering questions. Since it was Memorial Day weekend, they had made homemade ice cream for the residents, and that was really nice. They had exercise classes, outings, nursing staff, and doctors on-call 24/7, and a cafeteria that provided lunch, breakfast, and supper.

The Summit Place of Kings Mountain's assisted living was small. Of course, it was nice and clean, but it was just small. I met with the director and she was nice and informative. They have a variety on their menu and it was pretty good. They also have a little flexibility with it. If there were some things on there that maybe the resident didn't want at the time, they offer a variety of other things that the resident could have. I liked that. It was very clean, it didn't have any odors or anything. It was a pretty good location too.

I will be moving my parents into Summit Place of Kings Mountain. What I liked the most was it's a smaller community, so I feel like if something arose there, they would get more attention. They're not all Alzheimer's patients, they have 20 beds that are licensed for Alzheimer's patients. They are towards the end, they're not interactive, and not vocal. Being that there's a small number of Alzheimer's patients that would be there than the number of people that would be interacting with them, that would be more of sound mind. I liked that better because they're still in really good shape to have an Alzheimer's diagnosis, and they have everything on the premises that they could need. I like the fact that they have the option of either eating in the dining room or their room, and there are different options. They don't just have to go with one thing for the day, they can pick different options, and I like that.

I was impressed with Summit Place too. I wanted my mom to stay here, but the previous place that she had been kept notes that my mother was very aggressive and combative because they couldn’t get her medication, and because of the notes it kind made it hard for another facility to take care of her; we had to wait for a few months for someone to take care of her and found Summit Place. It’s very homey and pleasant. The staff was very pleasant and friendly too. The dining area was left open where the residents could help prepare things that they wanted like baking.

I visited Summit Place of Kings Mountain. Everything was great, and I was satisfied with the facility. The staff was fantastic. I have nothing negative to say about them.

Summit Place of Kings Mountain seemed to be a nice place. It was clean. They seemed to be interested in their residents. It was definitely a place I would like to consider, if my dad would be placed somewhere. There were some activities there. The staff seemed to be doing a very good job, and seemed to pay attention.

I was very pleased with Summit Place; it was a great facility. The people and the staff could not have been more helpful. I was very pleased with the condition of the facility. The rooms have been updated with a new carpet, and the size was larger than those in other facilities that I have seen.

Summit Place was very nice, but they did not have independent living. The staff was very nice, very accommodating, and very pleasant. The rooms looked small. The dining room was very nice, but much smaller. It seemed very secure. It was Wacky Wednesday, and everybody had on silly outfits, which was cute. If I needed assisted living immediately, I might go in there.

There were two people from Summit Place who came out to talk with us and made an assessment to see if mother is qualified to stay there. I was impressed with the fact that it’s very clean, bright, and a happy place. The staff are very friendly and helpful, and have continued to be. She has a room with another lady and it’s very nice. The food is delicious; I’ve eaten there several times. Because she’s elderly, she doesn’t participate in activities unless I’m there, but there are a lot of activities that are offered. They have Bible study, flower arrangement class, trivia games, music, and those who are mobile go on field trips.
