My sister is currently at Cedar Creek Living in Forest City in North Carolina. It's adequate, it's not luxurious, but it's clean and the people are very caring. When she needed outside assistance, she's had several ups and downs, they've always been on top of everything. Generally speaking, we're satisfied with it. It's not what she's accustomed to but it was affordable and we knew it was going to be temporary, so it's okay. They don't have a lot. They have some activities but not a lot of structure. It's a clean and caring facility, but it doesn't have a lot of frills. They do have private rooms, but they're small. They also have some double rooms. I ate one or two meals there and when I did, it was quite good. My sister complains about the food though so I think I got a pretty good day. They're not going to go hungry but it's not gourmet either. The cleanliness is good, rarely are there any odors, and it's usually very fresh and clean-smelling. It just needs updating. For activities, they have a few things like bingo and art. Sometimes, they have people that come in and do music. It's assisted living, but a physical therapist comes to her. She had already been to a skilled nursing home for the early phases of her injury so before she came here, she was already into physical and occupational therapy and the therapist came to the facility.
