I have a brother at Arbor Care, he has been there for a few years now because he can not afford to go to another home he is on Medicaid and a lot of the bigger nicer places do not take Medicaid. I will admit at first I did not want my brother staying here and tried to find him somewhere else to go but then they got a new manager who seems like she is trying her best to turn the place around. She is always a pleasure to talk to and will always take time out for me. They have really done a lot of work at this place to make it look better it is an older building so it never going to be great. It use to have an awful smell when you walked in the door, it looked dirty and run down, some of the other people that use to stay there scared me when I was trying to walk in the building to see my brother. However now when I go in it looks clean, I always see housekeepers working the hallways smell nice. The people who use to scare me no longer live there it is now a home for older people who just cant afford the bigger newer places. The staff is so nice and helpful. I really see this place turning around.

The rooms in Arbor Care were OK, but there was a smell. The people seemed to be really nice and accommodating. They had activities, and the dining room was really good, but the place made me feel dreary -- probably because it was an older building, and they had not really updated it too much.

My brother is in Arbor Care Assisted Living, but it is not a good one. It has an 80.5 sanitation grade, and it is pretty terrible to get a rating that low. The woman who managed it was fired recently. She was always very nice to me, and the staff is nice to him, but the food is not very good, and the sanitation grade is terrible. I've never seen such a terrible, depressing place to have to put somebody, but it is the only thing that he really can afford because they take his disability check. You want to hear about their activities? One day of the week, it's clean your room. Another day, it is clean the yard. They cleaned a little bit of grass, and when it did start to come up, they didn't mow it, so it just got higher and higher. It doesn't look good from the outside, and it is horrible on the inside.

Spring Arbor is perfectly wonderful. It was like a country club. It's new, the food looked good, they have parties and all kinds of things. They really are a superb place, but they were expensive. And they don't want you when your money gets low.

From what I could tell, Arbor Care looks like a decent and well sized facility with plenty of grounds to walk around. They are well kept but I feel they need many more foliage to help bring out some kind of "pizazz". The staff seemed very well spoken and knowledgeable and they were pleasant to talk to. In fact, everyone that I came across said hello which was very pleasant. I waited a few moments for someone to get to me and they took their time but once they did, they gave me their undivided attention. The facility offers plenty to do for their guests to keep them busy also. I would definitely recommend Arbor Care to anyone.
