We also offer respite care, or short term stays, which is a good option for seniors who want to give their normal caregivers a break, recover after surgery or other medical issues, or simply want to test the waters before making us their new home. Our respite guests will receive all the same benefits as our full time residents.

My mother will be moving to The Drake. I chose it because it was just a very clean, nicely furnished, and beautifully decorated place. It had what she needed as far as getting her private space, which was plentiful, but she also had plenty of space for socialization. They answered all my questions, got back in touch with me very quickly, and have just been very helpful in getting the ball started and moving her there. It wasn't all up to me to get things rolling, they got things rolling. I noticed they had areas where the residents and their guests could have snacks and drinks out readily, and we were invited to take whatever we would like. So that was nice. The facility was beautiful. They told me everything, showed me around, and answered all my questions about all the services they have. They do some field trips, parties, and different types of activities on-campus. He talked about them going to different places, having a game night, a movie theater, and a lot of different things. My mother will have a lot of opportunities to have fun.
