Waltonwood Providence used to be a great place for my relative to live. Times have changed. Management is extremely bad. The Director is not available. His office is dark or the door closed on a daily basis. When he is there he is on his cell phone. There are only a few employees that I trust. The food is absolutely horrendous. Total incompetence at this place.

We went to Waltonwood Providence. It is about 3-year-old new. Everything is really nice, new, clean, and pretty. It is impressionable. The rooms are very nice and are basically about the same size. They also offer lots of activities for the residents. They have beauty parlor, painting, art classes, and wine tasting. They have a place to go if you want to attend a church activity on Sundays and they also have a library.

Do not see a pretty building and expect the care and facility to match.... run away, run far far away!! Raises prices indiscriminately. Poor care. Requires residents to use their more expensive pharmacy . no nurses in facility . Tries to get rid of residents to find ones they can bill more . Makes residents stay in hospital over weekends so they don't have to work weekends increasing your personal costs and healthcare costs for Medicare and for everyone!

There is nothing wrong with Waltonwood (Waltonwood Providence); however, their memory unit is located separately. Nobody wants to live in Waltonwood and have a companion in a place six miles a way. The community was very clean. The staff members were well trained.

There are many good things about Waltonwood Providence, including the caring front-line staff. A few things to be aware of (1) No matter what is verbally being promised or sold, if it is not specifically stated in the contract or in writing, there is no facility accountability for their sales pitch, for example... If you are told during the sale that a Assisted Living Resident can freely go from Assisted Living through to main entrance or Bistro or main entrance foyer or into Independent Living...get it in writing because the common door is locked and Assisted Living Residents are expected to go outside, around the building and in the front main entrance...Crazy! (2) For on going situations, once you are a resident and family member trying to address concerns, you get lip service from management and it very much comes across as management is going to tell you how it is going to be therefore management is lacking in customer service skills. There is a Waltonwood Providence Family Council Facebook page where you can reach out to contact family members who have come together to ensure all Resident's rights are upheld and concerns addressed with management. It provides support of family members whose Residents are experiencing common issues with the facility.

Waltonwood Providence was brand new and top notch. I wanted to go there myself. It was big enough that you could walk around and yet it was almost like going into a vacation home. It was very clean with very nice people who would come up to you. They had different areas, and when you go in, there was a central spot where the dining was and a hangout area. They could choose to be with a big group or go in smaller groups. The staff was very good and very professional. Anything you wanted, they were there for you. Any questions you had, they would give you advice on what to do and what not to do. They were very polite.

Waltonwood is a new, modern place. It doesn't have a swimming pool, which is something I would like to have, but it is located where it is easy to get to one. It is close to public transportation. I only worked with one staff member, and she was very good. She answered all my questions and showed me everything I asked to see. The facility is new, the rooms looked very nice.

The one that I visited was called Waltonwood at Providence. It was a brand new and a lovely facility. Everything was very nice. However, I do not think they had any availability right now. I thought they filed up early. It was convenient to my house, and I had gone to see them with the idea perhaps of placing my father there. I saw the rooms, the amenities, the dining hall area, and the courtyard, and they were very nice. The director was very engaging and helpful. The place was very nice and clean. If I was going to place my dad there, and if I could afford it, I would probably do it.

We are moving to Waltonwood on Providence. It's very nice, and the apartment for my dad is much larger. He has a one-bedroom with a little kitchenette, and it is a little more space where we can actually go visit him and not have to be in the public spaces, which is what my dad wanted. I really like the size of the unit. One of the things that was really hard for my dad when he went to the other place was that everybody already knew each other, and it has been very hard for him to sort of break into the social area because my mom used to navigate all that and now she is not really able to do that. So at least in this new place, everybody is coming in at the same time, so everybody will be new. From everything that I know of so far, I'd say it is a five. I think the ambience is really lovely.
