My experience with Pelican Health at Charlotte is not as well as I would like it to be. The staff here is not as punctual as I think they should be. They appear overworked, though I don't see that many patients here they're going to be overworked. The nursing staff is not as attentive as they should be though they'll get to you if you complain.
They try to keep the facility as clean as possible. I thought they were getting a social worker to help me find a place so I can get out of here, but I haven't heard anything in about two months from anyone. My room is pretty cramped. I was in a room by myself for a while, but now, I'm sharing a room, so it's not as spacious as it was before. I have an electric wheelchair and I'm barely able to get in and out of my bed.
Maintenance is very slow. It will get done, but it takes a while. You have to mention things about four or five times before it may get done. The food is edible. They put you on a diet though I never really used that diet before I got into rehab. I think they put me on a renal diet because I do go to dialysis but I can eat better than what they provide. It's been the same thing every day.

Great therapy department. Very personable staff. Facility helped me very much when it was time for discharge, setting up home health and making sure my mom had all of her equipment.
