The food at The Templeton of Cary is not good and I don't like making a reservation and having to be down at a certain time. As far as activities, there are always art classes, basket weaving, and quilting. There's a lot to do and there's even a swimming pool, a hair salon, a nail salon, a good workout gym, and tons of exercise classes of all levels, but they are raising the rent all the time.

I have lived in The Templeton of Cary for two years now. I love it. The people are nice. I've made a lot of friends, and you can be as busy as you want, or sit in front of a TV. It's your choice. Lots of activities. It's fabulous. They're doing a wonderful job here. It's new. It's just two and a half years old. I like all of the staff. They're very nice, housekeeping included, they're good. They have strength training and balance training. They have a whole gym, chair yoga, there are all kinds of things going on all week. The food is good. I like it. And they have a wonderful saltwater pool and hot tub. They have classes in that and the pool too. They have all sizes of apartments from one bedroom to three bedrooms, or two bedrooms and a den, or three bedrooms and a den. It's great and I'm lucky I'm on the ground floor. I have a dog, and I just go off the porch into a yard. I like all the staff, they're very nice. The food is very good. They've had some trouble having enough kitchen staff. It's a problem everywhere in every restaurant. I think they're doing much better now. They've got some good waitstaff, but I think they could use another person in the kitchen. There's a wooded area, and there are gardens all around, flowers and whatnot. And they're going to put in a shuffleboard in a couple of weeks.

A friend of mine lives at The Templeton of Cary, and so I saw her apartment. She just moved into the independent living portion. It was beautiful. The facility's only a year old, so it's very new. She really liked it, and she said she liked the food. It's airy, cheery, and a wonderful facility. I only met the receptionist, and she helped us check in. She was great and very accommodating. It's a little more cumbersome to check into these facilities due COVID. There is some noise on the other side of the building because it's a busy highway. It's a little noisy on that side. You cannot hear the noise inside, but outside when we walk around the back we heard it. As long as you stay inside on that particular side of the building, you are OK. I think when you go outside, you could hear it more. I didn't see any activities. I guess at two o'clock, everybody is in their room napping. It looks like activities are mainly in the morning, I think. It's a little more expensive, but you don't pay any money to get in, so you have to compare that. It varies if you get a studio, a one-bedroom, or two-bedroom. I think it's between four and five thousand a month. The monthly fee is high, depending on which apartment you get.
