My grandmother is now in Lexington Health Care Center. We chose this place because they're the only ones that had a bed available. The staff members were excellent, they're nice. The only thing I don't like is that two rooms would have to share a bathroom. They have stuff for the patients to do, they are giving her rehab first and then going over to long-term care. It's a nice place and it had no smell, I just had been in some newer facilities. But they showed her excellent care and the facilities are clean. It's an older place, but it's an excellent place to put someone.

Nursing is very caring and compassionate. The rehab department is great with new remodeled gyms and awesome therapists. The building is clean with no odors thanks to housekeeping. There is always someone smiling and ready to welcome you in the front door.

I was a patient at Lexington Healthcare Lexington NC after a major surgery on my right leg to correct a deformity which formed after a fracture to my Tibial plateau which is located in the knee. Let me preface this by saying that there is not a Physical therapy department any better, knowledgeable, kind, concerned, compassionate, and empathetic group of Physical therapists, assistants, students anywhere that could even match this group of professionals. I loved them all and was very sad to leave them. But as things happen sometimes, I was told on the day of admission, that I was being discharged because I was a smoker. Although I was smoking in the designated area which I had been shown. To say the least I was surprised, hurt, and of course felt a plethora of other emotions. Scared was one of them. Having no family or friends (I had recently moved from Greensboro, to a new apartment and knew no one there.) I was there to learn to manage at home with equipment I had never used. There were many more things that were new to me. In my mind I had done nothing wrong.. The next day the man in the room next to me, reported that I had been smoking in my room! I don't smoke inside at home! I found out later, when the nurses took me with THEM to smoke, that his window was 3 ft. from where they smoked! I rest my case on that little tidbit of information. They gave me a choice of 2 other rehabs...or go home. I chose home. Oh...they don't let you leave empty handed either. No...their farewell gift was a severe case of SCABIES!!! Worst medical experience of my life. The SCABIES themselves are gone, but the residual problems continue.

My mother was in Lexington Health Care Center. I think they could have been more attentive. They're very clean, and the staff was very nice.

A friend of mine stayed at Lexington Health Care for a week. The place is clean and it smelled clean. They did a very good job taking care of him, but his level of care was just too high for that type of facility so he needed to transfer. The staff was very friendly and helpful. They did a good job in making us feel welcome. Our overall experience was very good.

A friend of ours recommended Lexington Healthcare Center to us after my mom's operation. One thing that I really like about my mom being there is that the nurses that they have are very aware of her needs. They check her every day. They are very quick to take care of every problem that she had and I am very pleased with that. I feel like they treat their patients with kindness and dignity. Lexington Healthcare is also a very clean facility and they are very well known in this area for their physical therapy.

For a short while, my husband stayed at Lexington Health Care Center. The place was like any standard institution. There wasn't enough scenery to make the atmosphere more homey. I wished his room was bigger and more comfortable. There weren't enough recreational activities for the residents.
