The staff and management accommodated all of our parents' needs and even most of their wishes throughout the time Mom and Dad lived at Canyon Creek Memory Care.
I noted that same care being extended to all the families I met while visiting my folks.
The care team was especially respectful of my parents' long marriage and their interdependency that grew from that. They were also treated with that same respect at the times of their deaths.
Good place, good people.

I visited Canyon Creek during the COVID, so they would not let us go inside of it. We got to go into the meeting room to meet with the lady and do the paperwork. She was very nice. We got to walk around the perimeter too and kind of peek in the windows. The one thing that I didn't like about it was that they kind of put people together like roommates in small rooms, and I wasn't sure about having my mother-in-law with somebody that she doesn't know, and it seemed kind of small.
We just saw the outside patios where there were some antiques displayed. I remember they told me that they have sewing and knitting. It just looked a little bit older. To me, it was like an old school, kind of ten to 15 years old, but it was clean.

I did an in-person tour of Canyon Creek Memory Care Community, and it was very good. They were very thorough. I actually toured it twice and took two different people with me each time, and both times were good. I was very pleased with the facility, and the people that I worked with.
From what I could see, the physical community was very good, and they were just very kind, very informative, followed up, and very accommodating. They got a great setup. They actually have a whole list of activities that go pretty much throughout the day. On the first tour, they were doing some sort of crafts with the residents, and on my second tour, they had something online that they were doing, plus they were doing something with yarn. I don't specifically know what that was, but they were doing some activity.

My mom will be moving into Canyon Creek. It's clean, and they're professional and friendly. They all know what they're doing, and they're hardworking. I like the layout of the place; it's an H-shape. Everything just fits together really nicely. Mom needs memory care really badly, and they're in that business.

This facility and staff are like our family. They take caring to another level. My best recommendation would be that should I need Memory Care please take me here. The entire staff are really caring loving people who are an extension of our family. Not only do they care for my loved one but they are also concerned for how the rest of the family is coping. I have the comfort of knowing my loved one is getting the care I would give if I had the ability to do all the things necessary for my loved one. I have become involved with the staff while caring for my wife. I am able to visit anytime. I can eat meals with my wife and go to the activities with her and staff encourage my participation in those activities. I am so greatful that we have this facility available for my wife . Take time to visit the facility and see for your self the caring staff. Chuck Hensley

My mother is in Canyon Creek. Our experience has been very good. It is a fairly clean, affordable facility with nice and friendly people and high security. It is all very clean and modern. They keep them busy and have activities all day long. They also have a gym.

My mom moved in at Canyon Creek. The people at the place were very nice. Her room is pretty nice, and she has a roommate. She likes the food. They all have different kinds of activities going on, so they don’t get bored.

My mother has severe dementia and often times refers to me as her "best friend", rather than her daughter. The staff is loving and supportive both to myself and my mother, and rejoices with me along each step of this journey. The facility is beautiful, and my mother is always clean and well attended to. There are many activities on different levels for the residents and a lot of individual care and attention. This is the 3rd facility my mother has been in as her dementia has progressed and I looked carefully at all possible options with each move. This journey has been difficult and the staff and management at Canyon Creek has been professional and worked with me. I feel blessed to have mom living at Canyon Creek.

My mother was a resident of Canyon Creek for over a year. Shortly after moving her there from an assisted living facility that did not specialize in memory care, Mom displayed a marked improvement in her overall demeanor. She seemed much more relaxed and happy than she had been previously. I attribute this to the excellent training of the staff at Canyon Creek. The caregivers there were all kind, caring, and supportive of my mother and our family. They made every effort to respond promptly to any of our concerns, reached out by phone frequently when needed to inform us of care needs, and treated her and us with respect. If I were again faced with the decision of where my mother would be safest and best cared for, I would choose Canyon Creek without hesitation.

We utilized Canyon Creek Memory Care Facility in Billings for their respite care services. We needed a place for our mom to stay for 5 days while we attended a convention out of town. We were very specific in working with my mom's doctor and Canyon Creek staff to ensure her medication orders came through accurately and were received prior to our family leaving town. We left on a Thursday morning and on Saturday mid-day I called to see how my mom's visit was so far. When she got on the phone, I could tell something was wrong. She said she was sick and in bed. I asked her if she had been getting her medicine and she said she had not. My husband then called and talked with a nurse, who after some digging through records, told us that the order from the doctor with her medication directives, had been misfiled and that she had not been receiving her medication. We were not only shocked by the negligence but horrified at the mental and physical condition this had put my mom in. When we returned to Billings and picked up my mom, there was no acknowledgement that any mistake had happened and of course no apology. I was told repeatedly that the executive director would call me back and I have never heard from him. My mom voiced other concerns such as, the staff was warm and friendly while visitors were there, but when it was just the staff with patients, the staff was rude and treated the patients like small children, even ignoring their requests at times. This facility is very beautiful in appearance but the care for my mom was not only unacceptable, it was negligent.

My mom was in a previous facility that did not care for her properly. When my father made the final decision to move her to Canyon Creek Memory Care he was nervous but knew she deserved better care. The staff at Canyon Creek Memory Care took the time needed to talk to us as a family, explaining the transition period and what to expect. The move went very well. We have found the staff to be gentle, caring and attentive to her needs. She receives regular HOT meals and nutritious snacks. We have been very happy with the care she is currently receiving.
