My mother-in-law and I did a tour at Traceway Retirement Community. It was nice but it was also much older. It's still very well-kept though and the staff was as friendly as could be. The residents all seemed to be very happy there. They did not have much availability and my mother-in-law was kind of particular about the type of room that she wanted. They had so many people on a waitlist for that type of room and it would have been a long wait time, so that was mainly the reason that we said we'll just take this place off our list.
It was under the administration of the Methodist Conference, I believe it's one of their ministries. We started the tour by meeting a lady in assisted living and to me, their assisted living doesn't have a level where you could graduate, as far as what they did for you. It was more like a nursing home. They had their own individual rooms, but with a lot of care and my mother-in-law was not at that point so that was not what she was looking for. She was looking for an assisted living where she would feel independent as well. The place was older, but that was not a deterrent. It was still spotlessly clean and the residents had everything they needed.

The Traceway Retirement Community in Tupelo has everything. Cottages, assisted living, nursing care, and memory care. It's run by the Methodist Church and it has everything. It's in Mississippi too so it's very good and we would recommend it.
The tour experience we had was very favorable. The staff is very professional and first-rate. It's an older facility and I'm not sure what year it was started, but they have upgraded and everything so it's very good.
It's located in the west part of Tupelo and they've had adequate ground so they've expanded. Now they have greenhouse homes so they're using environmentally-friendly construction product materials.
We ate there several times. We also had friends who were there and we went to visit them and ate with them. The people that we knew that were living there were very happy. They have good food, good attention, good activities, and a good atmosphere. Our friends' rooms were very nice and a good size.
Different churches come in and do singing and preaching. They also have physical exercises. They have a quilt group and a book group too. The facility is built in such a place that is a good neighborhood for walking. I think the value is very good.
