We visited Claiborne at Hattiesburg Assisted living. It is like the country club of retirement homes or nursing homes. They also have a memory center, which is very nice. All the rooms have kitchen, sitting area, bedroom, and bath with large shower. You could put a wheelchair in there, it is very big. They've got a theater, a library, and a post office in there. It's very, very clean and very modern. It's got a courtyard for the residents that are not in the memory center, and a courtyard for residents that are in the memory center. The courtyard in the memory center has raised beds so that the residents can plant things like tomatoes and cucumbers. I did not eat there but the dining area was very nice. The dining area staff brings each resident's meal to their table and makes sure that they're happy with it. It was very, very nice. Every room is a private room, so I'm worried about that for my mother because she needs someone to talk to. They get the highest grade if you ask me, it's quite a beautiful place. If I were to be a resident here, I would be proud of the company.

I found The Claiborne at Hattiesburg Assisted Living very satisfactory and a nice place. I thought it was wonderful. If it were me, I'd probably live there, because that's a little more my personality. I loved all those different units. It was like having a home. I only met one staff member. She's the one that showed me around and she was very knowledgeable and very friendly.

We are in the process of moving my mom into The Claiborne at Hattiesburg. I've been there several times and I chose it for her because I liked the look and feel of the facility. Everything was clean, neat, and well taken care of. The staff was friendly, too. Everyone was friendly at all the other places, but I just felt a connection there. I feel at peace whenever I think about my mom staying there. I have not tried the food, but the other residents there have spoken highly of the food. One of the things that sold me is that everything was well-kept, neat, clean, orderly, quiet, and peaceful. It was open and airy; it wasn't claustrophobic. I don't know how else to describe it except that I felt peaceful there, and I think my mom would feel the same way.

The Claiborne at Hattiesburg was a very nice facility. The people were nice. They had individual rooms and it was very clean. They had a lot stuff there for the people that stay in the facility. They had a parlor, and there were quite a few ladies getting their hair done. They had a place for ice cream socials, and the cafeteria looked spacious and nice.
