What I liked best about Arrington Assisted Living was that they seem to have a high resident-to-staff ratio. They seem to have plenty of staff on hand. It was also very welcoming. I think that for my purposes, for my aunt and uncle, it is a larger facility and I'm looking for something a little bit smaller, but that's not their fault. It's just a personal preference I'm looking for. For some people, they might like a larger building with many, many more rooms. For our purposes, we may need something a little bit smaller. We toured their assisted living and the Bedford Suites, which is their memory care, also part of their assisted living community. The memory care unit doesn't have rooms for couples. They're only single rooms, which is something that I am looking for. I'm looking for memory care units that allow couples to remain together in the same room. The person who toured us around was very friendly and answered all my questions. They had a physical therapy room, which I think was a little bit of a gym. They had a library, an outdoor courtyard area in the dementia unit, which was a closed-in courtyard, and I thought it was great. They also have the usual amenities like laundry, housekeeping, medication reminders, all the normal things you have at assisted living.

I was very pleased with what Arrington Assisted Living has to offer. The staff who walked us through was very friendly. The place is very nice. It's in a good location and sort of secluded. The rooms we saw were very spacious, with different sizes and options. They have nice sitting areas, and they have room for entertainment. I would recommend it.

My mother was a resident in The Arrington. While she was there, we were very pleased. We felt like we got good service. She very quickly started going downhill, and we needed skilled nursing. With COVID, they started restricting activities. They provided bingo, exercises, and movies. My mother never cared for the movies, but they were available for her. They have lots of groups that come in and have singing, music, piano, and sing alongs. They do puzzles, and they have done artwork. They will provide them with the materials, and they create their own piece of art. COVID changed a lot of that, but I can't fault the facility for that; it was just the circumstances that they were dealt. She had plenty of activities.

Arlington was a nice place with very nice and neat facilities. It was not just as homey as the other place I visited. The amenities were pretty good. The presentation was not as good because the lady who normally did it was out of town. The staff was OK. It was a nice facility but further away.

My dad is in Arrington. There are a few things that I would like to have there that aren't, but for the most part, my dad likes it there. The staff is really nice. There are a few little loopholes that have not been closed, and they do not take him anywhere. I do not like that because they say they will take him to Kmart or the farmer’s market or something, but they don’t.

Plantation Pointe (The Arrington) has different levels of care. It is a nice place, and they seemed to care about the patients that are in there. The staff is very nice. My mother-in-law’s room is large. The food is okay; it’s like cafeteria food. They played bingo a few times, and they tried to let them do crafts and word games.

We went into a lot of different assisted living facilities before deciding on The Arrington. A lot of them have a nursing home atmosphere or the facility itself looked like a nursing home, but this one is not. It looks homey and the furnishing in the mutual areas is very inviting. This is a fairly new facility – it's clean, upgraded and everything is modern. They're just wonderful and the nicest. The apartments have a bedroom, living room, bathroom, a little refrigerator and a sink. But we chose the one large room. With that, we were able to have a queen sized bed, a drawer, a dresser, 2 recliners, a love seat, a chair, some tables, lamps and a bookcase. It's large enough to be homey. They have a dementia unit, in a separate area that if they get kind of bad they can go into. That's in the same building. My mother has dementia. Right now they can both stay in the assisted living, but if the time comes that she may have to move into the dementia area, then my step dad could still be in the same building and be with her every day. Besides the dementia area in the assisted living, across the road is the nursing home. And they also have an Alzheimer's unit that is very well known in the area. A lot of places have different prices, they add for medical management, for cable and all stuff. We have one price that includes everything. Their staff is very accommodating, friendly and welcoming. They really enjoy the Bible studies and the church activities. The manicures for the ladies are like an activity, so there's no charge for that. In the beauty shop, they do a good job. They do a lot of bingo, card games and dominoes. Everything has been wonderful. I would highly recommend this place.

We have been so pleased with the lovely, well maintiained facility and caring and acomodating staff. We had to move my mother in law into ssisted living quickly from a hospital. The staff here bent over backwards to make her feel welcome and to have a room ready for her. The staff is reponsive and takes great care to keep the reidents involved and nourished and comfortable. She is gaining weight and sleeping well and taking her meds correctly here, all of which are blessings. No complaints at all after 2 months.
