The Homestead is locally owned and operated by the Cain family, who bring over 50 years of experience in the senior living industry.

The Homestead offers the best of both worlds. Less than a mile from area shopping and dining, you won’t have to venture far, but we’re tucked away in a quiet corner, away from the road. We offer a variety of amenities to accommodate your needs. Our community features a salon, wellness center, community center, puppy park, cinema, spa, and more! Dining options include three meals a day in our restaurant-style dining rooms. The Veranda is a seated dining room. The Bistro offers grab-n-go options in a fast-casual environment. The View is a private dining space available for events such as: family dinners, birthday parties, and special occasions.

Our community is specially designed to promote personalized care for our residents. With 36 rooms, our staff and residents are able to get to know one another in a community setting. Our rooms all feature a kitchenette with a mini-fridge and microwave, smart TV, and large walk-in closets.

The Homestead Assisted Living is family owned and they seemed to care about the seniors. It was smaller, so it wasn't crowded. They only have 36 residents. So, there's more one-on-one/personal care. The staff was willing to take time with me for a tour. I saw that they have lots of areas outside for sitting. They also have activities, such as arts, crafts, bingo, and all kinds of stuff. They have a pianist that comes in once a week and plays the piano in the library.

My mother and I visited this community and it was wonderful. The nurse on duty was very friendly and answered all of our questions about the levels of care that could be provided. The Executive Director was very helpful and provided us with all of the information we needed. We were invited for lunch and the food was delicious. My mom is planning on moving in in the near future.

We went to look at The Homestead Assisted Living. It was a gorgeous facility. The care was just not there. They wouldn't do any specific meal plans. They wouldn't help coordinate any transportation to and from doctor visits. They didn't have any transportation services whatsoever. I would say a five on the cleanliness and the building condition because it was brand new. But they only have three people there because well, I can imagine why, because they don't have any services, really. They don't have nursing staff there. They have the nursing staff close. The staff was very unwilling.
