Our mother stayed in the Greenhouse (Memory Care unit) where staff to resident ratio was 2 to 12. Although this apparently met State standards, the two staff on duty staff were also required to cook, do laundry and clean which meant minimal time with the residents. Management wasn't always attentive to our concerns. Minimal activities seen by private caregivers and during family member and friend visitations. Seashore Highlands in Gulfport. MS is an excellent place for recovery. I had a stroke and a heart attack and found their menu and entertainment great for all concerned. The only problem seemed to be a lack of entertainment, but they did what they could, however the facility bus sat in the parking lot most of the time. Beth Joachim was the executive director at the time.and actually a RN and we still communicate. Thank you for asking. I am at home now, and a widower.
