About This Community

To us at Dunsford Court - assisted living by Americare in Sullivan, Missouri, assisted living means two things: you do the living and we help you live. Our personal assistants provide what you need when you need it. Here, the emphasis is less on paperwork and more on people. Our licensed nurse and certified medication aides get to know our residents like family, with all of their unique needs and preferences. It's like home.

Dining is a focal point of our residents' day at Dunsford Court - assisted living by Americare. It starts with an open breakfast with eggs just the way you like them. We accommodate our early risers ready for toast and coffee as well as those who can't start the day without a big hot breakfast. Comfort foods, foods familiar and favorite, are part of our menu.

Our admission counseling services are comprehensive. Our administrator helps guide the family through all of the care options available to them as well as through the maze of paperwork involved with accessing our public long term care benefits. The Arbors at Dunsford Court was well kept and very nice. The staff members were informative and helpful. The dining area was very clean and very pretty. You have to furnish your own room. There was no furniture in the room, but it was freshly painted and very well portioned. It was a nice-sized room with a nice private bathroom. They had what they called little suites. It had a mini kitchen, a small living room, a bedroom, and a bathroom. I did see that one furnished. It was outstandingly beautiful. They had a little spa too. It had a walk-in tub and a walk-in shower that the residents could use. It was fully remodeled and well managed. They had a game area, a TV area, an exercise area, and an outdoor courtyard.

My Mother recently passed away after 2 years and 2 months at Dunsford Ct. My Mom and our family were all very impressed with the facility and the level of care but mostly with the wonderful people who have or still work for Dunsford Ct. They don't just work there, they take the time to become a part of your lives. Employees would come in on off days, perhaps to pick up a paycheck or something, and they'd take the time to walk to the end of the hall where my Mom lived just to say hi! Everyone was so friendly. When Mom passed, just about everyone who worked at the facility came to the wake. I was very moved. Kudo's to Carole and Faye and their staff. Thanks for making Mom's final years as pleasant as possible!
