WHAT I believe is,, they take care of your relatives.. BUT BE VERY CAREFUL,, SOME items you send with your reltive will never be given back to you.
MY mom has over 1000.00 worth of items gone, no accounting for them, no one looking for them,
BE VERY CAREFUL what you let your relative have,, my suggestion, from what I now know,, is,, only let them have clothes, nothing personal, no watch, no rings, nothing worth over 20 bucks, it will be gone, and when you ask for help, no one cares,, not a soul will help me, or even reimburse me for the items lost, after 3 months of mom passing, no help, once gone,, it is gone,, one item is a rocker recliner,, not a cheap one either,, it is gone, no one can find it, CORONA VIRUS IS the blame,, ya right,, how can you lose a rocker?

My mom now resides at Marymount Manor as of 09/01/2017 after numerous falls at home. She needed a place to have assistance when needed. It was a bit hard at first. Today is 09/19/2017 and I can say she seems to be very happy and content. I am an only child so everything was left up to me to take over. She raves about the food and can't wait until the next meal. LOL She tells me about what she had to eat almost daily. Since being at Marymount she has already made many friends. From the lady in her room who she has a lot in common with to the nursing and aide staff. Everyone has treated her very kindly. They have a little coffee/snack shop there where she can get a smoothie or fancy coffee. Her room is very clean and the admission staff couldn't be more friendly and helpful to make your loved ones transition an easy one. Of course putting your mom is a nursing facility is something no one wants to do but I feel she is safe from constant falling, and well taken care of. She is now getting and taking her medications as directed. I don't have to worry that she didn't take her medications. As far as I'm concerned I'm happy to have chosen Marymount Manor. Plus side...the deer on the property is a beautiful site to see.

We placed my relative in Marymount Manor. When we first visited, everybody was really polite and helpful. Since she's been there, they've been a little more lax. We asked them to take care of a few issues that were in her room, and that hasn't been resolved. The room was clean and not too small. She has a bed, a recliner, room for extra seating, and has a couple of tables in there. The people are friendly, just a little lazy.

My mother is in a double room at Marymount Manor, and the people seem very attentive.
They seem to be very good with her, and things seem good there. The dining room looks very nice, and I haven’t tasted the food, but she seems to be OK with the food; it looks appetizing. They have activities like bingo.

My father was a short term resident at this facility in October of 2010. He moved to this facility after a long term stay at a nearby hospital. He stayed at Marymount for 8 to 10 ten weeks. The facility had on-site rehabilitation services, which my father attended 3 times a week, to strengthen his lower body and legs to improve his balance and walking abilities. My father's room was private and large enough for a twin bed, dresser, night stand and an arm-chair; all of which was provided. The bathroom was shared with the room next door and the showers were down the hall. The facility had a "smoking room" and was available several times each day to accommodate my father's smoking habit; the cigarettes were kept in a lock box as smoking was not allowed in his room. There is dining hall which served three meals a day and offered several food choices at each meal. Overall the staff was welcoming and kind, but the facility had a "cold" feel to it and was a short stop in my father's rehabilitation.

I visit my grandma at Marimont Nursing Home. The facility is very clean, and the staff is warm and attentive. I remember one time my dad and I played music for Christmas, and both the staff and members of the home were very appreciative and happy. That made me feel good to know my grandma has a staff who is open to new ideas to entertain them. The staff were so kind. One lady came in to give all the women hair cuts at no charge, and I thought that was a nice idea.My grandma also has a nurse named Jenny. Jenny listens to my grandma's stories and tells her jokes. I know my grandma is in capable hands.Marimont also has a great maintenance team. One time my grandma's toilet was not working, and she called someone. They came the same day. I was impressed since that doesn't happen in most apartments.I would trust them with my own care when I get old because they are people who truly care. They have bright spirits and superb knowledge on how to treat others.
