My mom is in Lincoln County Nursing & Rehab for short-term care. She's there for rehab. So far, they've kept in contact with me about things going on, her physician check ups, and the physician that visits the place used to be our primary physician. They do have in-house activities. Most of the meals are provided, and if they want snacks, soda, or something, they use vending machines, and we have a small account set up for that. They're probably the second worst rating in the state. They seemed to have treated her well, and they have been open with their information with me, and I'm very pleased with that. They've had an employee that tested positive with Covid, they tested all the patients next morning, and they called me with results immediately, and I'm pleased with that.

I had a relative who was in the care of Lincoln County Nursing and Rehab. We felt very hopeful when she was transferred from a different care facility to Lincoln because they promised change; change in diet, change in physical therapy, and change involving a set of better skilled nurses. We did notice a change, albeit for the worse. They attempted physical therapy, failed immediately and never put forth any effort after that. There were no changes in diet, it was the same unhealthy, unappetizing food as the last facility. Not to mention they were serving sodium rich meals like mushroom soup and a bologna sandwich to residents with heart conditions. The room was always filthy, foul smelling, and cluttered with various care items belonging to the nursing home that should have been placed in a closet. While visiting, the wait time on patient calls were outrageous. We often had to go to the nurses station after 15-20 minute waits and request that they come to the room to help the resident. Important care items like wheel chairs and lifts were always broke or missing. Over the course of the stay, my relatives health only declined from numerous infections, bed sores, etc. To say the care my relative received from Lincoln was poor is an understatement. They will tell you what you want to hear but they will not properly take care of your loved ones.
