We were very impressed with Village North Retirement Community. I think she’s going to move in there. It had everything that she needed: a workout room, exercise classes, card clubs, movie days, and happy hours. They offer 30 meals plus breakfast everyday. They have a car to take them places. She has a 900 sq ft apartment which is larger than her home. It had a shared laundry on each floor which was the only thing that was negative at all.

I have friend staying here and I was pleased with the nurse, physical therapists and the pt assistant untill about a week or so ago then everything seem to change when they let the person go and hired some women named Tammy and since then there has been a bit of confusion with the physical therapist assistants and buses aids which I've over herd most of them complaining about the new supervisor and how she hasn't got a clue as to how to run a department or her workers, always changing scheduled patients to soot her needs instead of the patients in my opinion she should be replaced with someone who Is a bit more competent in her job not making things more difficult for her workers and patients a good supervisor knows how to leave things alone unless they have a better more efficient way of doing things and like my mom always told me don't fix what's not broke, and watching the efficiency go lower each day is really bothering me that's why I felt I had to say something and in my opinion your company needs to bring back the superviser you let slip a away or at least hire someone that knows what she is doing

Village North Health Center in my opinion is disgusting! It's dirty. The carpets are disgusting. The staff unprofessional. CNA's and aids yell and scream at patients. The nurses can't find patients charts but, have plenty of time to chit chat. Drs orders sometimes go for hours and hours without being honored. The Drs don't adequately evaluate patients, nor do they ask the family any history about the patients. I wouldn't recommend this place.

The staff greets me at the door with a hello smile on their faces and allow me to walk through the home without a guide. I not only check in on our members I prayer for those you need prayer along with bless oil. If they should happen to go into the hospital I sometime go there as well.....I read to them, pray with them and I am also a story teller. Somedays my visits are good and some days they aren't. I know some of the people by name that are not of our church. I treat all the same. Sometimes its depressing and sometimes its very rewarding. God is always working. I visited a mother and daughter how had Kidney transplants not that was God working. I couldn't hold back my tears. I sometime take plants, flowers but most of the time I take God and my smile. Thanks for asking me to share.

A friend of ours was on vacation from Missouri to Tennessee. This vacation was long over-due. He and his wife found a hotel; checked in on their first night he had a terrific headache, fell to the floor. She immediately called the ambulance after rushing him to the hospital in Tennessee he was diagnose with an amurizum. Cannot remember the hospital there -- his stay was weeks until they stabilized him. After shipping him back to Missouri to the Christian Hospital his stay there was long also. Finally they more him to Village North Rehab Center. This place didn't have a nasty odor, the staff was polite, they had therapy, exercise rooms, showers, nurses around the clock it appeared as though they had one nurse per patient. They were on top on the patients with their meals. Some of them could feed themselves others could not. Out friend could not. Some evening I would go in to visit, I enjoy telling stories and reading so this was my pleasure. The staff knew me by name, although I didn't go on the same day each week, because I was told to always visit on different days this way the staff would not know his stayed there several months. He has not recovered.
