We placed our 101 year old Grandma in the facility impressed by the new renovation and the location of the community. She stayed 5 months. In the 5 months she lost 14 pounds, broke a wrist and was always dirty so also a UTI that was horrible. It was impossible to get a weekly showers. In September 2022 without me assisting her she would have never seen a shower. I visited daily to clean up feces and make sure she was alive. After removal she spent a month recovering from constipation and dehydration issues that really affected her sleep and cognitive function. She was sleepwalking and sundowning daily. But now back in family care she has gained weight, toileting well, Sleeping through the night and the sundowning is less. I reported the issues constantly to the director of Nursing Kristi but she was limited by the constant turnover of staff. I witnessed a 80 Percent turnover for the nurse aids in 5 months. And they did recently fire Peggy Manager/Director. Also we moved her into Tesson Heights in May and the air conditioning broke 6 times. Building maintenance was as stretched as the care staff. But I don't think it's just Cedarhurst it's a big issue in our Country.

Cedarhurst of Tesson Heights has too many people, 140 people in total, and seemed like the staff didn't know the residents' names. I felt that they weren't recognized as a person but as a number. I had a very fast-paced tour. They just kind of walked me real fast through stuff. The facilities were nice though. The manager was great. The halls were just so long and my mom wouldn't do well there, because she'd have to take her walker so far to get anywhere.

My father has been thriving in this community. We were hesitant at first but he loves it! The rooms are nice and it is very clean. He loves the staff and all of the food options. Our family is very pleased! I wish we would have moved him in sooner.

My father moved into Cedarhurst of Tesson Heights yesterday. It was a perfect match for my dad. The young lady that's in charge of the sales department was absolutely fantastic to work with. She bent over backwards. I got my dad a hospital bed that somebody had left there. They moved it to his room. She's very attentive. Also the individual there taking care of my dad, Angie is just fantastic too, and her team. When we walked in the door, all the people were coming up to her and hugging her. She's got a really good relationship, and she kept saying we're one big family here. It's just overwhelming. You can just tell the amount of care that she has for her clients that are out there.
Dad has a really nice room. They're renovating the place right now, and it's a really nice room. It's perfect for him. They've got plenty of activities. Yesterday when I was there, I think it was a quartet band that was in there singing. When I was leaving, they had bingo going on for the residents. They have a whole slew of other activities that they do with them, and they take them out to lunch. If you can go, they'll take you to the casino and to the store.
They have an area that works as a private dining room. They have an area where the residents can go and watch movies, which is really nice. They're going to be putting a bigger fish aquarium in. They're getting rid of their bird area, where they have birds in the birdcage. The bus driver, Paul, bent over backwards for my dad. He picked him up from Nazareth, and then transported him to the facility where he's at. He was very nice.

We toured Cedarhurst, and it was very good. They didn't have an available studio, so we went with the other place because of the cost. This place was excellent as well, and it was a very hard choice between the two and the price came down. There was no difference in their assisted living and independent living portions. It's just one place, depending on the level of care each person gets.

My father is in Cedarhurst of Tesson Heights. It's close to my house and they outsource health nurses and that kind of stuff. If we needed a little bit more care, he could get that. He's in assisted living for right now. The staff was real caring when they talked to us and they helped us with the transition. They were very helpful. He said the food was the best food he had in any place and better than the rehabilitation place he was in. They don't have any activities right now because of Covid. I really like the facility. At first, I thought it was only concrete, but there's grass in between that's set up in the shape of an E. There are grassy areas, and they're animal friendly.

I went to visit. The location was on the main business highway, the room was clean, amenable for 2 individuals, and had separate living room, kitchen and bedrooms and bathrooms. It looked comfortable. They have entertainment that comes in, they can drive the residents within the area, businesses, and hospitals. They have doctors and nurses coming in every other day providing medical checkups. They have common areas that they can gather to play games and watch

We liked it, but the hallways were narrow and we would have to take an elevator to get to the dining room, but the elevator was too small for my father to use his scooter chair in. We ate there and liked the food. We liked the people and everything about it, but the hallways were a little too narrow for him to use a scooter chair.

My parent have been there for over two years when my father passed. They are like family and very caring. Mom is happy she is there and enjoys the community atmosphere

I really liked it. It was clean, had friendly people, did not have an odor, and encouraged bringing the families over. They offered cooking classes, which had a regular kitchen setup with a double oven, tables, and bar-height counters. They also had an area with a very large dining table, like in a family's house. If we wanted to heat up something, there was a microwave nearby. The dining room was nice.

The staff did a very good job with a relative of mine and were very helpful. It is an older facility that was just renovated and had a caring atmosphere. He was in the independent living part and liked it a lot. The food was very good.

They have the best price for the value. We like the location. They have a media center and a pool. The staff is very accommodating, and the room has met all of our expectations. They go to the grocery, movies, and casino, and do arts and crafts.

Tesson Heights was fine, but it seemed they had the independent living and the people who needed care all mixed together, but it was really nice. The staff was wonderful; they showed us apartment type rooms, but we have to furnish them. They gave us a printout of activities, they had a lot of different things -- which were very nice.

It was very nice. They were all cordial. The apartments were not as big as I wanted, but they were clean. Everything was OK, but it was out of my price range. The food was very good.

We visited. The sales person -- Susan -- was very good. She gave me a really nice tour. It is a very beautiful facility. They have a bus that can take you places if you want to go outside of the property. They have a room that I think they use for like music and stuff like that, and they have a library place with lots of books.

We moved my mother in, and it seems like it’s working out fine so far. She’s been there about three weeks. The staff was real nice there and it was one of the more reasonable ones we looked at. Sometimes, she complains about the food, but I think she’s having a hard time adjusting. She goes to the mass on Friday. They were playing some kind of game in one of the rooms and playing bingo one time. It’s not a real huge facility, but it’s the perfect size. Her little studio apartment turned out to be really nice. We fit a lot of her own furniture in there to make her feel more like it was her own home still. One thing that’s good is they get three meals a day, and I think she really enjoys the breakfasts.

The staff was very friendly. The residents were relatively happy. The rooms were on the small side but fairly clean.

We really liked it. It was nice and clean but was a little bit older. Everybody seemed really happy there. They were having a birthday party when we were there. It was a little dark in the hallways, but it was a lot better priced than the other ones. They had individual dining rooms on each floor. The atmosphere was happy. Everybody was real nice and friendly. They had a big cafeteria downstairs.

It was very nice but seemed a little older and a lot smaller. The staff seemed very nice. The rooms were small and dark, and because it's older, it doesn't have a lot of natural light. Their grounds were nice outside and their dining room had assigned seating. They did not have a pool, but they had a church, library, and outings. They did not have doctors on-site, but you could schedule an appointment, and they will drive you there. They had a multi-purpose room for exercising, movies, and more.

My mom is here. The staff seems friendly and knowledgeable. The residents seem a little younger and more able-bodied. They have independent living as well as assisted living and have a nice garden and outdoor area that I like. They provide transportation and have social program outings and shopping.

The one thing that really impressed me was everything was inclusive. It was very clean, the people were very nice and even the people who were there as residents would stop and talk to you. They felt comfortable to have a conversation with you. The staff was very helpful, knowledgeable and answered all my questions with facts and knowledge. They didn’t try to hide anything. There were people playing games in a little common room. There were also people out playing music together.
