About This Community
Parc Provence is part of a larger community of well being: The Gatesworth at One McKnight Place, McKnight Place Assisted Living and McKnight Place Extended Care at a nearby campus. These communities have led the way in providing area seniors with a wide variety of quality services in a warm, residential environment since The Gatesworth opened in 1988. In fact, The Gatesworth family of residences has won many national awards for its excellence in senior residential care and design. Those same standards of excellence are upheld at Parc Provence.

My mom is staying in Parc Provence. It is an outstanding facility. The staff is extremely professional and very good. I will rate them as high as possible, but if you plan to live there, you better have some money because it is expensive.

Horrible accidents don't just happen, they are allowed to happen by an "its not our fault" policy. A tone of accountability and transparency starts at the top. The safety of the residents is what they dearly pay for. A person with Alzheimer’s can’t say what happened. That should not be taken advantage of…it is NOT about profit.

My uncle lives in the area for the most needy residents - Rose Garden. Every day the staff help him get dressed and taking a shower. He is clean. It does not smell at all there and the housekeepers are very nice. The people in charge of doing activities with my uncle are gentle and caring. They encourage him a lot. There are lots of nursing staff who tend to everyones needs. They help the people eat and it is quiet during meal times. There is lotsof music and love. Uncle lived at Parc Provence for 4 years now. All the staff are knowledgeable and know how to work with people with dementia. Uncle is happy and that's all I can ask for! I highly recommend Parc Provence.

My mom has lived at Parc Provence for over a year now and I cannot stop praising the superb care and services offered by this wonderful community. My mom had a hard time leaving her home as it was hard for me too to see her go through this. However, the moment my mom stepped foot into Parc Provence, all of those worries, for both of us, vanished. It was as if our previous issues never existed. The main thing I was looking for was good people to care for my mom and I have to say the staff is absolutely incredible, I have never seen people so kind and caring. The daily routines are unlike anything else as well, from the dining to the activities and from how nice the building is kept to how meticulously the laundry is done, I would recommend Parc Provence to anyone who truly wants a good home for their parents or loved one because that is what Parc Provence is all about. And they stand up to that 100%.

My loved ones lived at this facility for several years. They were placed in a more restricted ward than necessary to fill the beds. The Rose Garden is for the most combative residents. Please be sure if you place your loved one here that you receive what is promised. Nurses are hard to find, usually one at the station. Conditions did not improve here. Memory activities and staff are EXCELLENT but the poor aides are underpaid and given few incentives from the ones I spoke with at that time. The focus there is to keep the memory engaged but they can come down hard on your loved one if they try to defend themselves from combative residents. Also there was theft of items there..what a shame. Such an absolutely lovely facility but it is not lovely if your loved ones dignity and self-worth are not respected. Wet furniture all the time, don't toilet the residents consistently. Best part is the activity dept...great aides, but the level of nursing care could stand to be improved especially at the high cost compared to other facilities. Don't be swayed by their gifts and flowers. Search for the best care possible for your loved one that promotes health and comfort and the best medical care. Fancy furniture and ice cream parlors are nice but chances are they may not even bring your loved one to the activities unless you constantly request it. Thank you for reading my "opinions"

Park Provance is a very nice facility, that features in resident gardens, assited-care living, dining plans for it's residents and lots of fun activities. It is meant for those with Alzheimer's and the staff are well trained to take care of your loved one. There are several things that they do to ensure your loved one receives good care, there is exercising, memory activities and they work together with you to make sure the residents are eating healthy. I would recommend Park Provance strongly.
