My father has been in Brookdale Creve Coeur for 12 years now. It's very clean. The staff is good. He takes 17 prescriptions a day and they always make sure they give them to him on a timely basis. He used to be in the regular part, but now he's in assisted living. I've gone to a lot of brunches with my dad and the food is very good. They have a sheet every day of ten different things you can attend or do. They got a pool there if you want to swim or do therapy in the pool. There's a whole itinerary each day.
It was so expensive. When I moved him in there, it was like $3000, and now it's $5500, but there's no place any less expensive. It is what it is. They're just going with the going rate. Everything's in the apartment. They got a refrigerator, a microwave, and a stove to cook. They even have an oven. The washer and dryer are down the hall; they're not in each individual unit. They got a little bitty pond in the back and an area to sit and watch because they got ducks on the pond and then they got an area in the front of the building to just sit outside.

I visited Brookdale Creve Coeur. One of my sister-in-law's requirements is that she has to have assistance to transfer and they will do that, where a lot of other facilities won't. My impression of the staff was good. I have a friend that lives there, and she says the staff is excellent and the food is good. I just went in and looked at the available rooms. They showed me a studio because that's all that they have available. She wants to get a one-bedroom and they might have one open in November. The rooms were spacious. They have transportation, laundry, personal care, and a dining room. They have all the amenities.

My ex-husband was at Brookdale Creve Coeur for fourteen months. He was in the independent living section, which had lots of activities, including movies, people playing music, and game nights. Then the pandemic hit. He did not thrive because everybody was having to stay in their room. When he had his shots, we moved him to the assisted living area because he was not doing well in the independent living. Then they insisted that he must have round the clock nursing, which we thought was abusive considering that he was in assisted living. I think he was supposed to get a higher level of care.
The staff members were all lovely people. They were accommodating until they insisted we get round the clock care. My daughter was not particularly impressed with the food too. I know her father complained about it from time to time. For the most part, we were very happy with them. We just didn't like the way they handled him when he started getting confused. We were paying even more for assisted living than we are right now in memory care unit, which is backwards.

We picked Brookdale Creve Coeur for my father-in-law because it was friendly and clean, the room was nice, and the pricing was in his budget. They made us feel like this is going to be a good home for him. He is actually moving in on Saturday. The employees we met were all very friendly, very professional, and helpful. They had us come for a trial lunch, and the food was delicious. Everything is beautiful, and it's a very nice place. It's clean, well groomed, and well kept. They put in new carpeting and new flooring in the room for him, and everything is painted.

My mom was in Brookdale Creve Coeur. It's a nice place, she was doing just fine, but they didn't get back with me when I asked questions and stuff. They were really big, they were really geared for residential living than assisted living; most people there have cars and they're coming and going. I think they probably have 800 rooms, it's a huge place, it's very active, and if you can take care of yourself, it's a great place to hang out, but my mom needed a little more help. They finally moved her to assisted living and then COVID hit, and then they locked her up. I just didn't have much connection with the staff, they weren't really used to handling her there. They were like a hotel. It was a bit expensive, but it was very nice, and I think the food was good there.

The lady that we had the interview with at Brookdale Creve Coeur was nice. She sat and talked to us while we ate dinner, and several of the residents stopped by and said hi. We didn't care for the food, it wasn't a quality dinner at all. The place wasn't that clean, and the carpeting in a lot of areas was pretty soiled. The average age of the clientele is about 75 and we're at 55-65.

Brookdale Creve Coeur had one-bedrooms, two-bedrooms, and studios. They had a variety of dining rooms, therapy room, and a swimming pool. It was all-inclusive, so the cost was more transparent.

Brookdale Creve Coeur was a brand-new facility. I think they've only been there for a year or so, so it's very clean and updated. They were very nice, but it was out of our price range. I explained that to the lady, but she was helpful and gave us the tour anyway. Everything was very nice, well kept, and brand new. The rooms were small. It is much pricier than most of the other places, so you're getting what you paid for.

I visited Brookdale Creve Coeur. The staff was nice and friendly. The place was nice and clean. The rooms were medium-sized and not so bright.
