Poor DON and adminstator. The DON is disabled and cant even walk the floors. The adminstator allows the DON to run the facility instead of doing his job. So poor staffing starts with these two then trickles down. They need new faces to help the facility run better. These two are running the place down. It always starts at the top. DON runs off all the help. Staff has NO ONE suitable to follow.

My mother was in this facility and we could not get her out fast enough! I know this is a tough business and not everyone can perform these duties because it requires true compassion and a genuine desire to care for elders. Aides generally seem to be uneducated women who just need a job and the requirments are minimal which brings bad behaviors and attitude. I think if they were paid more, they would care more. Residents deserve so much more attention. We repeadedly took matters to the Sr staff as they claim they care about their residents but they're really clueless as to how the facility is actually ran (by the aides, not them tho they think they run it.) This facility is probably like most others...understaffed and aides underpaid, which results in the residents suffering.

This facility is actually very good and the staff are very caring. Although this is an urban nursing home the care was excellent. Some of the staff are a bit urban but the care made up for the lack of professionalism. My Aunt had a stroke and was there for apx. 6 months. The staff helped her with everything and even brought in little extras to make her become more cheerful when she was having bad days. There is a lot of room for improvement at this facility but my family really liked it. The staff treated my aunt as if she was family and that made a world of difference in the recovery process. This facility is also pretty dated. It could use various renovations with in the building. The social worker was also a big help with in the process of bring my aunt back into her own home. She help with various rehab resources as well as food, utilities, and social supports.
