Both my parents received hospice care at this facility. The nursing staff were wonderful and the support techs were also very attentive and caring. We received lots of communication and staff was very welcoming. Having experienced several other facilities in the area, Manor
Grove was very different and gained our families trust through their excellent care.

My elderly mother spent time in rehab at Manor Grove. During her stay I never met nor was contacted by a nurse, doctor or physical therapist. I was never given any communication regarding her rehab plan. The very few staff I saw in the hallways were uncommunicative. My mother complained of poor and often rough physical treatment and total lack of verbal compassion by the staff. I did not personally witness this because the extremely strict visitation policy was stopped entirely due to a “GI” issue. The staff Covid protocols wavered between inconsistent and non existent. I was thoroughly disappointed in my mother’s rehab and transferred her to another facility after a week.

Manor Grove is fantastic. They are very caring, friendly, and very good. They all know my mom, and they call me to give updates, especially with COVID. I can't go and see her that often. The only thing I know about her room is that it is bright and cheery, but I haven't been in it. They have activities for the people to do every day, and they have a resident bird in a huge wooden cage, which is nice for people who love animals.

My family had a very unfortunate experience with our loved-one's care at Manor Grove - a facility we specifically chose because of word-of-mouth and proximity to family. While I'm sure they employ some very caring and competent staff, there are others that should never be in the business of caring for the elderly. The rehab care of our loved one did much more harm than good - in fact, there was absolutely no evidence of any improvement whatsoever. Despite advanced age, she had all the promise of improving her condition and going home to continue her very self-sufficient life following injuries from an auto accident but was discharged from the facility in MUCH worse condition than when she arrived. We believe it was due to neglect, (not to mention the harshest and most insensitive verbal abuse), that we are still uncertain of because of Covid restrictions to visitation and lack of clear answers to questions posed. She passed away one week after discharge.

Mom did occupational and physical and some cognitive rehab in Manor Grove. I think they did a good job. I tasted her food, and it's quite good. It was a very nice facility, very clean, and it didn't smell bad. The staff was very nice, accommodating, very friendly, warm, and welcoming. Their intake girl was really awesome. I don't know how she does what she does. They also have really nice courtyard areas, so people wouldn't even have to go out. It was very friendly, very inviting, and they have pretty grounds.
They had quite a few activities, but my mom didn't really get the chance to take advantage of them because she was busy with rehab. They have current events discussion, they do movies, and they do bingo and a lot of different stuff in their recreation room. I think sometimes their communication with what was available and what could be done was not really great. A couple of times, I said, "Can you get my mom in for a haircut?" I had to say it couple of times. We weren't really sure who the best person was to go to get things done.

My dad has been in Manor Grove since June. We chose this place because my sister lives Kirkwood and this one is close to her. It's also not far from me. It's not a huge place. It's non-profit and it has been around for a long time now. My dad has a Medicaid bed, so he does have to share his room with another resident. He does get along well with that person. My dad loves their food, which is good. He doesn't really do many activities though. We went there for Christmas and it was very nice. They gave them all Christmas presents. We went to a buffet there and it was really nice. I think their staff is very caring. They seem to be very gentle and sweet with them. They always ask us if we need anything, how my dad is, or if my dad likes everything. They're really nice. They're upbeat. To me, they seem to genuinely care.

My aunt resides in Manor Grove. It is one of the nursing homes that has single rooms available. We are just really pleased with this place. They have lots of activities for her and the food has been really good. They also provide therapy for her. Manor Grove also has a cat there that my aunt loves. They do allow pets inside the nursing home.
