About This Community

To us at Spencer Place - assisted living by Americare in Saint Peters, Missouri, assisted living means two things: you do the living and we help you live. Our personal assistants provide what you need when you need it. Here, the emphasis is less on paperwork and more on people. Our licensed nurse and certified medication aides get to know our residents like family, with all of their unique needs and preferences. It's like home.

Dining is a focal point of our residents' day at Spencer Place. It starts with an open breakfast with eggs just the way you like them. We accommodate our early risers ready for toast and coffee as well as those who can't start the day without a big hot breakfast. Comfort foods, foods familiar and favorite, are part of our menu.

Our admission counseling services are comprehensive. Our administrator helps guide the family through all of the care options available to them as well as through the maze of paperwork involved with accessing our public long term care benefits. Making it easy on the family is our first priority at Spencer Place.

My mother-in-law chose Spencer Place for herself, and she likes it there. The building is a big square with a patio area right in the center of the 4 hallways where the apartments are. They have exercise classes, bingo, and movies, and they go out once a week. They also offer resident transportation for appointments. They offer restaurant-style dining where the residents can choose from the menu, and then they have a standard menu that's always available.

Spencer Place is a wonderful place. They take great care of everybody and my dad loves it there. I have nothing bad to say about it. He plays bingo, they have exercises that he goes to that he loves, there's entertainment, and birthday parties. They do everything for their residents. The food is great. I've had lunch and supper with my father, and the food is wonderful and homemade. If you don't like what they're having, they have a menu which you can eat off of, so they accommodate residents fully. They have a courtyard, bird feeders, flowers, a library, and a small setup where they can go and get ice cream.

My Father stays at this facility. The staff is outstanding goes way above and beyond for my father. I live out of town and they outstanding about update me on any kind of concern with his status or changes. I would recommend this facility to any family that is looking for somebody to take care of there loved ones. My father loves the food. His room over looks the courtyard that is keep up beautifully. My father like looking out at the flowers and birds.

Spencer Place was very clean, small, and convenient. The food is very good, they had a menu with a good variety, and they even had a gourmet chef. They had an activity room for Bingo, they had exercises, and they have singers come in. They had a salon, a visiting area with snacks for the family, a piano, and days where the bus comes out and take them.

My mom lived here and they always went above what we expected. They have genuine staff that are definitely there for the correct reasons. Always get smiles from the time I walk in door till we leave.
