At The Arbors at Ravenwood in Springfield, MO, living with Alzheimer's becomes less of a challenge for you and your loved one. We combine the intimacy of assisted living with specialized care for dementia. The size of the Arbors promotes a comforting, calming environment. With no more than 15 rooms, the Arbors co-exists with a sister assisted living facility, yet remains separate. Care is provided in a building specifically designed with the care of the Alzheimer's resident in mind. We consider each resident's own strengths and weaknesses to weave a seamless cloth of individualized care. We also incorporate the latest approaches to this challenging disease into the daily routines and activities of all our residents. It's difficult to even search for proper care while tending to someone with Alzheimer's. Each day presents new challenges to patients and their caregivers. At the Arbors we offer a shelter of care and advice for the entire family.

I toured Ravenwood Senior Living and it's set up the same as another place we toured. But they're just an older kind of building and everything. The common areas where all of them eat and the different lobbies were great. But the individual rooms seem to be dark and depressing. I think if they painted, because they have a darker color on the wall, and if they would freshen up just a little bit it would be just great. The staff was so friendly, and they seemed like they had a lot of things going over there with games and activities for everyone.

My tour at Ravenwood Assisted Living was good, but the place was a little more rundown. They had activities. It was a smaller facility. The staff was good, but there seemed to be a little confusion on the hierarchy. Cost was compatible with the rest. The rooms were smaller and they had more shared. They take them shopping, do exercise, and they have a church there.

I was impressed with Ravenwood Assisted Living and the person I was dealing with. She was very upbeat. The room was nice, and they had all kinds of activities, like music and crafts.

I have been to Ravenwood (The Arbors at Ravenwood). It’s very nice and clean. It’s also a little smaller, which is good. The people were nice. The dining area in the Alzheimer’s was small, but they only take a few patients. They do a lot and everything, but I wasn’t quite as impressed with the rooms.

Ravenwood didn’t have a homey feel to it,so it just didn’t fit our needs. They had assisted living and memory care.

I went to The Arbors at Ravenwood. When you walk in the facility, it just feels like home. The staff's attitude was A+. The lady was very polite. She toured me everywhere. She took time with me. The dining room and the rooms were A+. The room has living areas which is separate from the bedroom, which I really like. The only reason why we didn’t chose this one was because it was way more than what my father could afford.

Ravenwood was doing some remodeling while we were there. At that time I would probably give it a three just because there was still a lot of construction going on. The room model was OK, and I would probably give it a three and a half. They were clean and spacious as well. The staffs were very friendly, and they answered our questions. We saw a few residents, but we didn't really get a chance to talk with them because they were in a middle of an activity. They seemed to be happy and enjoying it.
