Kingsland Walk Senior Living was new, very nice, and had all the same amenities and everything. The staff member toured us to the assisted living and memory care, and he was very knowledgeable and very informative. He showed me every bit of the facility and everywhere that the residents could go, and they all looked satisfied living there. So, it was a great tour.
The staff spoke nicely to me. They came up, talked to me, and asked if they could answer any questions. The dining room was very open and friendly, too, and the rooms were really nice. I liked their setup better than the other place I saw. In the double room, you could put up a curtain for your privacy, as compared to other places where you had to walk through one person's room to get to the other side. It's just the layout was different, and it was nice.
They had a recreation area where they played cards and games, a couple of different areas with TVs, and little areas where they had that Touch on Touch thing where there's a baby bed, a baby, and animals as you walk through the floor. There were like two of those areas. They do trips, too, where they take them out once a week. On the memory floor they do more activities, because those people have more of a need in the community.

Kingsland is new and it's very beautiful. The staff was very welcoming. The rooms were really big for memory care. They work with you and they reach out every week. You can tell the same kind of warmth and welcoming. I tried the food three times during the open house. With my father passing away, they even sent a meal for the family for the repast.

My mom is at the Kingsland Walk Senior Living. What I like the most about it is they care about their residents, and they actually have apartments where you can set it up basically like your own home. Their dining is like a restaurant style where they have choices. It's not like they just decide what they're going to cook today, but they actually have a menu to can choose from. For the memory care residents, the caregivers actually go around to each of them and help them with the menu; I like that. I've eaten there maybe four times already, and the meals were really good.
It's a new place, so they're just getting up and running. I love the fact that they have a Facebook page where they post a lot of the activities that they do. On days that I can't get over there, I can still see what they do. My mom actually feels like she's at work during the day. It means she's busy and not just sitting around, and that's good. They have a little garden set up on the patio, and I know she goes there. They have a happy hour and a beauty shop too.
The only problem that I have with them right now is the fact that they only have one staff member on the memory care floor. Now that they're filling up, they need to have more than one or at least two because they have two halls, a dining, and a TV room there.
