Memory Care
Our “Person-Directed Care” approach is at the heart of everything we do while engaging and caring for those living with Alzheimer’s Disease or other related dementias. Our unique Memory Care approach and programming provides each of our residents with a customized care plan that allows them to live their life to the fullest.
Couples have the option of staying together if one person should require Memory Care, and the other needs only Assisted Living. We also offer a Memory Care Day Program, for Assisted Living residents who choose to continue to live in Assisted Living.

We like our tour at Cedarhurst of Columbia. The people there seemed so nice, the staff seems so nice, and they were very knowledgeable, and we felt very comfortable there. That is the number two place that we might want to put our dad. It was an older building so it doesn't have some of the perks that the newer buildings have, but the staff was great. It was clean, their clients seemed well taken care of and happy. We got a chance to just literally watch them for a little bit, interact with their clients, and they were laughing and joking. It just seemed like people were happy to be there. We went into the dining area which was very nice and very clean. We met the person who is over the kitchen area and feeding, and she seemed very knowledgeable. The place was well-proportioned. The only thing negative about that is, unlike newer places that had a theater area, or have a swimming pool or exercise area, Cedarhurst does not have that.

My father was in Cedarhurst of Columbia. It's great and a big place. My father has dementia. He was able to find his way to his room and to the dining area, and he was on the second floor. Overall appearance, it was very well-kept. The staff was great. I was able to talk with them and call anytime. They do have a concierge service, and she would get me to the correct person to talk to. I ate with my dad, and the food was very good. It's very well-balanced and nutritional.
He has dementia, and a lot of times he did not want to participate in things. Typically, they would take two bus rides a week, and we did participate in that together. His room was very spacious, with plenty of room for him. We did bring a double bed in. We had a dresser, recliner, side table, and nightstand. The bathroom is very large. The closets have very ample room for anything you want to bring in. They did get a new activities director. It seemed like she was very hands on. I think that they are comparable with any place you go to. It is not inexpensive.

We toured Cedarhurst of Columbia. I think it is a very nice facility, but it just wasn't the right place for dad. They had a lot of activities. They had a caring staff, but the place wasn't in Fulton. It was way too big for dad. We were looking for a place in Fulton. In that brief little bit we had with the staff, they seemed to be caring.
It was a very nice facility. It was clean. It was well kept and attractive. If somebody was looking for a place in Columbia, it would be a nice facility and a big place.

My mom was a resident at Cedarhurst of Columbia. I guess prior to the COVID shutdown, I was really happy with it. Frankly, I wouldn't be happy anywhere post-COVID, just because you can never see your loved one. I guess it was while she was there that she started falling on a daily basis, and eventually she broke something. I don't know if the staff ratio was high enough after COVID. It may not be something that they could do anything about anyway, but that's what I noticed.
She had a studio apartment, and she basically had to bring her own stuff.
For activities, they actually had something going on during that time, but my mom was already Alzheimer's impaired even then, so she didn't participate in a lot of it.
There was one cleaning lady whom we really liked. She was really positive, and in fact, it was this cleaning lady who made a phone call to me from my mother's room. I hadn't heard from her in forever, and this lady went out of her way to make that connection, so really high kudos to her.

The staff at Cedarhurst of Columbia showed us the apartments, the amenities they had, and the swimming pool. We're just not ready for assisted living yet. The apartments were small, and they had a library. The staff was very good. If you're going to go after an assisted living and you wanted an apartment, it would be very good. It was a fairly new building, and it was laid out really good.

We've been living at Provision Living for more than two years, and it's been very good. They tailor whatever is needed to the patient. We have a three-bed studio apartment, and it's adequate. The food is excellent. They've got a really good chef, and some of the staff were here more than two years, but half of them had a high turnover. They've got a fitness program tailored for the people.

Provision Living at Columbia was OK, but it was a little expensive for me. It had a nice layout. I like what they're doing there. They had a gym and people who came in with the classes; I really liked that part. The apartments were really nice and big, but the pricing was a little high, which was the only thing I didn't care too much for. I saw people that I actually knew who live there. Everything was nice and convenient. It had nice ,big hallways, and a fire escape plan which they go through every month; I felt very safe. I really liked the people. I met this one lady who was staying with her mother at the time, and she said she loved it there. They were more than welcoming. The personality was there, and it was a very welcoming place. It looked like a fun place to be. If I were to choose a place for fun, that's the place I'd go. It was very uplifting and cheerful. I didn't get a feeling of remorse or anything. I've got a feeling of happiness when I walked into it. The lady who showed me around was quite cordial and really filled me in on everything. She touched base on every aspect of it. I really liked the facility. If you want to take stairs, you could, but there's a very large elevator there, which was very convenient. You could always move your furniture up or down. They had a wheelchair, so you don't have to worry about it.

Provision Living at Columbia was a very nice and modern place. The best part about it was that the residents could come down anytime they wanted for dinner, lunch, or breakfast. It was not a lockdown facility. They had walking trails and a nice pond there.

“Isn’t it amazing that, at this late point in my life, I can tell you that I have never been happier or enjoyed life more?” Those are the words my 79-year-old mother enthusiastically said to me about her life at Provision Living just recently. For me, that says it all. While she longed for her independence and more socialization after having lived with my husband and me for five months, she was extremely nervous about making the move to assisted living. That all ended the minute she walked into Provision Living. From the beautiful exterior and wooded grounds, to the warmly grand entrance, lovely dining room, and incredibly spacious apartments filled with cheery natural light, it was clear that her worries had been replaced by excitement and the desire to move in “right now!” As wonderful as the structure is, it is, however, definitely not what takes top billing: the people of Provision Living are amazing. Each and every staff member is warm and friendly, and the residents are clearly happy and engaged… my mother and I agree that everyone makes you feel that you are part of a big, happy family. I know that I can call or stop by at any time of the day or night and be welcomed and given any information I need. Activities are planned with the help and input of the residents and include such a wide range of interests that there is always something for everyone. The nursing staff is especially outstanding: they take the time to really listen and even took very special care to organize my mother’s complicated medication schedule so that it was easy for me to implement when we took a several day trip away for a family reunion. I would highly recommend Provision Living to anyone!

Provision Living at Columbia was wonderful and lovely. The staff was very friendly, greeted everybody, and knew all of the residents. It was more of a luxury, high-end place than what you would think of for assisted living. The rooms were very nice and very accessible for the residents. The food was delicious and like a restaurant where the residents can choose what they want. They have snacks available throughout the day, and you could also have food brought to your room, so it's very convenient.

Provision Living at Columbia is a brand-new facility and looked fabulous. It's very fancy, almost like a hotel. The dining room was very busy while I was there. It was not meal time, but the residents were at tables and going in and out. The foyer was very nice, too. We talked to one of the managers who was very friendly and accommodating.
