I have seen all three levels in Aberdeen Heights. I had a friend who stayed in the independent living, in the assisted living, and rehab. It was excellent, but very expensive for an average person. You have to be very wealthy to live there. The facility looked amazing. The staff was amazing. It was like living in a grand hotel. They have independent menus with a large selection of food, and it's delicious. They have every kind of activity, like they take them everywhere.

I visited there with my mother. We were told she had to have at least $500,000 to get into Assisted Living. When has more than 5X that, but to get on the wait list we were told we didn't need to list all assets. We were told there was a 4-6 month waiting list. 3 months later, my father died and when we inquired an additional month later they told us that there was still a 6 months wait list. Only then did we learn that it is rare to go directly into assisted living - that nearly all of the residents come from independent. A specialist who helps place elderly and a director at another facility felt that independent was appropriate for my mom. So my brother made an appointment with the independent side. Aberdeen canceled us stating that we didn't qualify financially and that she didn't qualify for independent living. The specialist was shocked that we would be treated like this. They made a mistake because my mom is very sweet and easy and has enough cash to make it to 110 there.

Outstanding facility that provides a caring atmosphere and very clean. My mother was in the Glen and my brother lives in the retirement part of the facility. Top notch.
Food excellent and lots of activities. Friendly residents and the food is outstanding. First class!!

Glen at Aberdeen Heights was very beautiful. I liked the gourmet food and all of the activities. People seemed very lively, not just sitting in wheelchairs staring at the walls. I also like the fact that you could go into skilled nursing there if you can afford the price. I liked that very much because I would certainly like to avoid the nursing home. The rooms and apartments were really beautiful. They have full kitchens with beautiful cabinets and granite counter tops in just really lovely rooms. You have to buy in. but you can decorate your room. It’s very charming and inviting. They are absolutely perfect. The only problem is it’s far away from my children.

During my visit in Aberdeen Heights Assisted Living Community, I would say that it was beautiful. They had antiques in the place, so I found it like I was going into a mortuary. I didn't see that much sign of life when I was there. I saw a few elderly women dining at lunch time. In fact, I had lunch there, and the food was good. It was a huge community. I only saw the lady at the desk who was in the reception area. She greeted us and showed us around. I would say that their rooms were only for Donald Trumps's family. The place was only for the wealthy. It was very lovely though. However, the coldness of the atmosphere was unappealing to me.

To be absolutely concise and truthful, Aberdeen Heights was fantastic but completely out of our price range. It was a wonderful experience. It was great, and I'd love to be able to afford it. If you can't afford it, then you don't go any further with it. It had a less like a nursing home effect on me, and it was more like a hotel. It was excellent. They had hair dressing salon, exercise room, and swimming pool.

Aberdeen Heights is brand new, gorgeous, with big chandeliers, and they have a piano. It’s very nice. If you want assisted living you could have people come in and you could pay them. The staff was very nice but I think they learned pretty quick that grandpa wouldn’t be able to afford it. It wasn’t that they put off, but at the same it was a different feeling once they realized that it wasn’t going to work. Grandpa has a retirement and social security and it obviously wasn’t enough for that place.
