Don't let the beautiful surroundings and numerous activities fool you. Their memory care unit is neglectful and understaffed. They claim to check on residents every 2 hours, that was not our experience. There was hardly anyone at the nurses station when we needed help. My mom had a horrible black and blue bruised face but they couldn't explain how my mom fell while in the bathroom. Hospice sent extra people there because they felt she was not getting appropriate care. We took mom out after a couple of months.

The grounds and staff at Mari De Villa are extremely nice and private..."A country setting" in a well developed and convenient location, although the traffic on Clayton Road can get backed up during rush hour times. Mu husband was in the skilled nursing area (East building) for almost two years where he was treated with love, dignity and respect, although he could no longer walk or talk I knew he was happy and well cared for. Because the grounds are so nice I bought one of the retirement Villas and intend to stay here for the rest of my life!

I would highly recommend Mari de Villa because of the activities; the facility was a smaller size and location. The rooms were very well maintained, light, and cheerful. The staff was very good. They had smaller staff, and they were family owned. It was well located outside of the congested area.

My father was in Mari de Villa for a 6 weeks. He had been in several other facilities (dementia care, read, hospital, etc) for the past 5 months. We were so happy we found this place. The staff is loving and really showed a true interest in dad. He passed quietly with the hospice nurse and family at his side. thank you for making his last few weeks as comfortable and dignified as possible.

At Mari De Villa it seemed like they have a band come and there was a little happy hour which was nice. It was clean, but extremely expensive. They also have a movie room which was nice. The rooms were extremely small to me. I would recommend this place if they had a lot of money.

The rooms at Mari De Villa are of pretty large size. They have somebody to come in and clean. They also have somebody to come in, take the trash, and make sure everything is okay. For the activities, the residents do some walking.

My mom has been in Mari De Villa going on for two years now. She is in their skilled nursing facility. This is a very nice facility and it is not like a nursing home in that their rooms are big and lovely. Their caregivers are wonderful. The food is not good, but overall, I would have to say that we're very happy with this facility. I like that place for her.

This Nursing home is very well maintained. It's located in a nice, quiet pleasant area. All of their hallways are swept regularly, and the rooms are vacuumed consistently. The staff takes care of the patients in a caring and fulfilling way. They are very good natured and spend as much as time as they can with patients. They play games such as bingo with them and talk to them frequently to keep them company. The food they serve in their dining room areas are filled with variety from appetizers to dessert. Their facility itself is quite spacious with hundreds of rooms. There are two wings to the nursing home. One is slightly larger than the other, and they are connected by an enclosed walking bridge with glass. The rooms are in standard sizes within each wing. The nursing home also provides condos for their patients. Food is delivered by the staff via golf cart to these condos. This nursing home has been around for decades, and their overall quality is top notch.
