Recently I have seen so many positive changes with this nursing home. When visiting my love one in the past, the homes was dark, nasty, and overall care just sucked but since the new administrator has taken over the building has been glowing. They are remodeling. The outside is decorated and looks amazing. The overall atmosphere is so wonderful. If you would asked me what I thought of this place six months ago I would never been able to praise this place as much as I can today. I hope they can keep up the good work. They are back in the dining room, residents are out and about. Yes they are still wearing mask but at least they are not left in their room. Activities are in full swing. It’s just amazing. The residents are in such a better mood.

My dad is at Lakeview Health Care & Rehabilitation Center. The facility is a little bit antiquated, but the people are amazing, dad is getting excellent care, and we have no complaint. They have been letting me in there for a while. I was having to suit up with a gown, a shield, gloves, and a mask, but they've lightened up a little bit, and now I just have to wear a mask. I visit him about once a week. They like him, and he likes them, so that is very important to me. COVID shut their activities down. I called the other day and learned that they have a new administrator, and the activities are going to gear back up. When I was there, they were feeding them in their rooms, and I don't know if that has changed yet or if he is getting to go to dining room. It is an old facility; some people may not like it, but dad does not seem to care. He just wants to be around people. They just love him, everybody stops and talks to him, and he is really content. He is really making friends. The staff like him, and they always peak their head in there. It smells old, but the people have gone above and beyond, and they have just really welcomed him. They took him in during the height of COVID, and he got COVID while he was in there. They called me as soon as he tested positive. I was thankful he was there because if he was at home, I might have seen him every day, but he probably would have argued with me about going to the doctor. I don't know that they have a memory care area -- but they are set up for dementia patients -- but he is not in a lockdown area, and he does not try to escape. He has just really taken to that little community; he just really likes it, and that is good. For what we are paying, I think it is expensive, but I don't have to worry about him. He is self-pay, so he really could not afford $5000 a month, so for what we are paying I am pleased. Dad says the food is good and that they take good care of him. It is $3100, but at least we can afford it.

My wifes grandmother named E. Waterfield. stayed there to her last day on this earth as we know it now. she was a very kind woman and treated me very well.She told me some stuf about waterfields and i didnt understand until i realized later her name was watts.The staff at lakeview are very hard working kind people and treated elma very good.The last time i was was there they were doing some construction work on the inside kitchen area and surrounding area. E. Waterfield was 95 years old when she passed so she has seen alot in life,the facility really helped her alot.The building is located on the outer part of a small town named Boonville which is about 3 to 4 minutes from super walmart and other stores. the facility has a big activity room for partys and get togethers.Nice cozy rooms and dedicated staff !
