Addington Place of Lee's Summit didn't seem clean and didn't seem homey. It seemed sad and lacking. We didn't like their ala carte pricing. The layout of the rooms was very similar to any of the ones we saw, but we did not like any of the showers. The showers all seemed dirty and a hazard to get into. There wasn't a smooth walk-in to the showers. They looked unsafe.

I had an in-person tour at Addington Place in Lee's Summit. We talked about assisted living with some specific help for my mom such as dispensing her medication and maybe some prompts about bathing and that kind of things. I was really impressed by the people I spoke with. I talked with Monica, I believe she's the director and she gave me the tour. She's very warm, friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. The facility was very clean and it smelled fresh. I wouldn't say it's luxurious but it's very nice. I saw two studio apartments and they were very nice. They had a little bit of a kitchenette, a living space, a bedroom and bathroom with all of the helps that you need to find. It was everything I hoped to see. They didn't have as many amenities offered right now because of Covid but I think they had a scheduled visiting. You can schedule a visit in a private room with family members for 30 minutes at a time then they have some games. Not too much amenities. I guess the only thing I was hoping to find that they didn't have was religious services right now. Because of Covid they can't let anyone come in. Maybe they have more but they just can't do a lot right now. I thought the community layout was a little bit confusing. I walked around the assisted living area and, to be honest maybe I was just trying to pay attention to some other things, but I think I could imagine my mother getting lost in there. I supposed there's a thought for the way it was laid out, so it would probably makes sense when she got used to it.

The manager at Addington Place of Lee's Summit was very polite, answered all my questions and kept calling me. They showed me a studio, and they're in the process of renovating it. I was very pleased with the facility. The staff was accommodating, and it appeared clean, friendly, and very inviting.

It was a smaller facility and I really liked it, but my mom didn't care for it. She thought it was a little too small, but I thought it was fine. The activities director was busy with some residents. The dining area was very nice and it's smaller, but they don't have a lot of residents, so it's definitely adequate. The food was my favorite of all. It was restaurant quality food and it was delicious. The food was really a little step above the other two places where we ate. Their common areas were smaller and they didn't have as many. They had a lovely courtyard though. It's important for someone to be able to go and sit outside. The staff was very good, very nice, and very helpful, and the director was very good.

It seemed more like a nursing home style but yet very clean and very nice. But it also was more along the lines of a nursing home feel. They provided everything. In fact, they were just changing their menu plan and their eating arrangement. It was going to be an open dining experience. It was no longer going to be breakfast served at this time, lunch served at this time, and dinner served at this time. It was really nice that they were making it that anybody could come anytime that they want -- almost like restaurant style. You can come anytime you wanted, and I really liked that feature. I have not seen that in any of the other places. The rooms were very nice and very clean. It seemed to be the one to make available the most care if you were well into your needs.

I'm going to give it the highest score in everything. It was wonderful, clean, new, nice, and friendly. The maintenance guy even stopped to ask if I'd been helped. The dining room was very nice. The rooms were maybe a little small, but they were as big as any I'd seen. They were accessible, and the folks seemed happy. The chef even brought me up some cookies he made while I was touring around. That's a thing you don't expect.

It was an assisted living facility located next door to a hospital, so it was a good location. It was very neat and clean, it looked like they were having lots of activities going on, and the staff was very helpful. They were very friendly and followed-up with me several times. Unfortunately, they did not have any openings. It was a new and comfortable feeling when you walk in. You felt like people enjoy living there.
