This place needs to be shut down. Nursing staff do not seem know care plan and a resident will sit all day in a chair without staff moving them. Under the direction of the DON. She has no clue of what's going on. Residents look bad, so does staff.

I can not understand why this place is still operating. On my first visit I cried. This place needs major updates. How can a facility that is suppose to care for vulnerable adults not be equipped with the nececessary medical supplies and furniture? My father in law was diagnosed with stage 4 cancer in his liver while having a fractured back and he has to wear a shell for support, one unstable move can paralize him, this place doesn't have a bed with railings matter of fact there are no railing throughout the room nor in the hallways O_o. The bed is from the 60's actually. The nurses ha! my father in law had 7 teeth pulled at once. You would have thought they would have made sure to put him on a soft food diet but they didn't and when they were REMINDED that he had his teeth pulled they claimed they couldn't find the dentist order that said he needs a soft food diet. Beyond livid with this place. ACTION is being taken. My father in Law will not remain there.

My father was in rehab of Golden LivingCenter-Chateau for a couple of months. The staff was extremely helpful. They made sure they engaged him as much as possible, even if he was uncooperative. They're very open with the family and keep us up to date. But, if there is anything negative to say, they only do peer conferences once a quarter and sometimes it's not often enough, there's some missing information. My father, in some instances, didn't care about the food, but it was OK. They do offer to allow food to be delivered to them. It's fairly large; they're cooking for a number of people. They could improve the communication with the family about the type of care they provide. But overall, we had a very positive experience. I would definitely recommend it. It served its purpose of what my father needed.
